I'm sorry it took you ten times to get Moldavite Earring. That does not make it more important than the rest of the game.

Cutting JoL's HP in half would really be a welcomed change.
JoL doesn't need a change. :/
Im content with 30-45mins JoL. Please dont make the already boring fight longer...
How will they make it longer? lol
Clearly AV/PW were doomed ever since they lost the ability to love.
The past two weeks have seen considerable feedback from players regarding the amount of time required to combat the Pandemonium Warden, a recently implemented Notorious Monster (NM). Discussion has spread significantly throughout forums, and it has become apparent that this is indeed an issue of major unrest in the community.
We would like to assure players that the development and management teams place a high value on their feedback, and the issue has since been taken under serious consideration.
Together with Absolute Virtue, it has been deemed that the combative techniques for weakening these NMs are too difficult. As a result, some players have engaged these enemies using unanticipated methods which led to extended battle times.
WTF? if we are not using the preffered 'Weakening' method which is not hinted to anywhere in the game, what else are people to do than just wail away at it till it finally drops? I would hardly call this 'Unanticipated' behaviour
It is by no means the desire of the development team to see players involved in encounters that require an excessive amount of time and effort to complete. It was for this reason that previous measures were put into practice which prohibited NMs from being held in battle for prolonged periods.
Odd, because i seem to remember it was because people were taking NM's into more preferrable timezones for themselves or to deliberatly grief other players. There were 2 methods they brought in for this. Rage timers and GM Holding rules. I can not for the life of me think of any other NM or circumstance where this was required because the fight took too long
In response to these events, we have determined that further alterations are required to prevent such battles from exceeding a certain predetermined length of time.
Included in the version update scheduled for early September will be modifications to the degree of difficulty of Pandemonium Warden (and associated pets), Absolute Virtue (and associated pets), and Jailer of Love. The aim of these changes is to create battles where a decisive outcome may be reached within a shorter period of time.
This could either be awesome and the bring them down to a level that scales with the challenges before them, or they just rape you flat out so you cant live more than a few minutes/hours (AV does this already so im hoping its scenario A)
The development and management teams would like to take this opportunity to express their commitment to a healthy and wholesome game environment for players everywhere to enjoy, and to thank them for the continued feedback.
How about you make some of the other changes we have been asking for all these years while your at it. Now is as good a time as any
It's not going to be beatable. We're talking about Square-Enix here...
i've also had people go 0/6 on yinyang, 0/10 on rutter, 1/3X on swift belt
and how many screenshots of fire crystal tiamat do we have? the 'rest of the game' is more than 2 fricking monsters, or what I like to call 'all bst, all the time' limbus/dynamis.
Player uses random-hint-or-fix-that-SE-gives
AV commits seppuku
????
Profit
I'm so hoping it's something straightforward...I'll be so depressed if it's yet again another criptic video.![]()
As a man of many Tiamat, I have seen more item drops than crystal drops. Granted, the items such as BEETLE BLOOD, and wyrm horn aren't worth nearly as much now, I never saw anything glaringly wrong. After all, Tiamat drops nothing that is really useful outside of synthesis materials and movement speed, which is always up for debate as to whether or not it actually affects your job or if it just helps you not suck at soloing as much.
The only item in that entire listing that has any merit, I'd say, is Yinyang, but even so that's intended for only one job so it's not like you often have much competition... in fact I remember a friend just recently getting DT, and spent an entire week with it to himself. I mean, fuck that NM for wasting ~20 minutes of his time for a week for a drop. I mean that's nearly two hours!! CLEARLY IT CAN BE COMPARED.
Oh boohoo, you've had bad dynamises and limbuses? I wonder if anyone else has had those, in fact I wonder if anyone's ever had a good Dynamis or Limbus run. I mean fuck, being shit on occasionally isn't exactly some foreign concept to games. If we are to accept that these things are run by random number generators and not by some GM furiously masturbating to your angry posts on these forums, then you have to expect a few zeros to pop up sometimes.
Oddly enough, I had a conversation the other day in LS. One member is notorious for being somewhere near 0/30+ for Swift Belt, whereas there are about six of us in LS who've gone 1/1. I don't know about you, but it's beginning to sound like there could be a law theorized about, chances, maybe averages even.
And I'm sorry not every pop NM has a 100% drop, but really what pop NM has such a difficult item used to pop it without a 100% drop? Oh wait, the only real thing I can think of off the top of my head are the sea jailers. But instead, you claim rutter sabatons.
Think of actual things to complain about, not because you had a bad run-in with an item.
if this ends well, BtL would have accomplished way more than by just beating PW. If.....
Yay!
Makes up for a disappointing week of NO update notes. Two weeks to go...
Maybe the adjustment to JoL is making sure that AV pops 100% or most of the time after JoL dies?
I just rolled a six-sided dice ten times. I didn't roll a single four, in fact I rolled the following:
1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 6, 6
in the following order:
6, 3, 3, 3, 1, 6, 5, 3, 5, 2
CLEARLY THEY SHOULD CHANGE THESE DICE TO BE MORE FAIR. IF I ROLL AT LEAST SIX TIMES, I SHOULD GET EACH NUMBER AT LEAST ONCE.
Damn, the secret to AV was here all along. It's got to be channelling Rocl's sheer angst into a weapon and using that weapon to defeat AV! If only there was a weapon capable of housing the immense power all that angst contains...if only...
Honestly though Rocl does have a point. The only thing that's remotely annoying about some of those NMs is the fact they spawn on the 3 day times. It's not as bad as AV or PW obviously, but it goes in line with the "We don't want to see your real life suffer, blahblah," when you've got to sit for 12hrs at windows off/on to make sure you claim against everyone else who wants the NM. Not that everyone should be entitled to the same drops every time, but they could always add something like the Ouryu -> Bv2 pops for a little bit a change. (Add dorps to the BV2 Wyrms? heralds + bmask in the same run !?)
I think this update officially beats the Talisman thing on monday, >_>.

These things scare me. SE missed the boat on the first point, this wasn't why people started holding HNMs, we held them to make their pops more convenient for us not b/c they were too difficult.
The 2nd point REALLY sounds like they're planning on putting in either a rage timer, a rapegun TP move, or some combination of Mijin Gakure+Sodomy that makes it so you can't kill it but it doesn't depop.
I'm almost positive they're just going add a rage timer to each of the NM to prevent people from fighting them for longer than 3+ hours.
