give yoichi +20 both ! :E
I dont need +20 acc, Ill keep my attack, ty
[kidding]Yeah that way he won't miss Shield Bash![/kidding]
Yeah Pld does need attack desperately to avoid goose-eggs, but the rest of the 1hed Relic users probably wouldn't complain much about 20 Acc.
Also: glad to see some true nerds here, first time I saw a Vorpal Bunny I wondered how you cut things with a rabbit.
shit I'll take +20 acc on spharai
Rumours are a Tizona on Caith Sith has been completed.
Edit: Unless I missed something, just notcied it's already on ffxiah it seems.
I skipped past the last couple of pages, thought it was just the ACC/ATT/Spazari discussion. Meh.
I'd still rather have acc... it's such an undervalued stat these days, probably because we've all been spoiled rotten by Sushi and how absurdly powerful it is (And really, it honestly is a broken food. Why haven't they balanced attack food yet?I miss the days when attack food was a flat boost not a scaling %)
Okay so, I'm taking bets here. That is, I'm betting Vajra will be something dumb like upping the DEX and AGI boost to SA & TA, and carnwenhan will only add maybe 30 seconds to a song tops. Aymur's sick enhancement MIGHT be martial weapon effect for pets but...well, that would mean SE actually has a brain so I doubt it.
before the awesome 2H patch, 2handers have problem with accurancy..and it sucks missing and waiting for next long delay round of attack
thats the main reason why 2H relic have +20 acc
but till date, i'm still happy with the +20 acc and allow 2H to eat attack meat food haha
1H having +20 acc will be bad ass too........but 20 att is also good......
guess it is still as good as it is now
lolmystic aftermath
Hell even the 10 acc on usu gloves/nkote beat out 20 attack of okote or even the 22 attack of bkote when acc isnt' capped. 20 acc vs 20 attack, no competition.
Has there been any more testing on the Tizona to see if it's a % damage into MP?
Is the MP drained (boo) or recovered (yay).
There also might be ways to increase proc rate.
I also had a couple Tizona questions. Is the MP recovery an "add effect" in the log? And if so (or even if not) does it take priority over enspells and sambas (or even maybe stack)?
Also, confirmed the aftermath works the same as Burtgang as tiered based on level? And assuming so, confirmed that it's Acc > Macc > 2x attack rather than Macc > Acc > 2x attack (obviously should be the former based on the description, but based on the description you should also get all three as far as everyone's concerned, so worth checking). And what is the potency of the Acc bonus?
Was on a previous page. However the question about added effect was not answered.
Yes its acc/macc/double attack at 100/200/300.
Guy said 10 acc and ??? for the others. However I would assume the potency increases between 100-199 and 200-299.
If it was an add effect, they coulda said "Additional effect: Converts damage dealt to MP" but I guess that would take more precious flavored text space, and the wording on all the mytics are pretty messed up and misleading. Also, I assume it works like Ethreal earring, since it's the only other item with similar effect.
I've been trying to find the main source of reports on Tizona and this is the closest I've come. It's credited as the source on JP Wiki so I'm guessing this might be it. One thing that kind of concerns me is that the account is of someone other than the owner and his results based on examining it being used. I'd kind of like results from the owner himself, but for the time being it seems that that these results are at least from controlled tests and are expected to be more or less accurate.
Skipping the already known aspects, the damage>mp conversion does not appear in log, as an added effect or anything else, making getting exact figures time consuming to say the least. This does however mean that the chance of other additional effects stacking is fairly certain.
Aftermath functions just as Burtgang, with accuracy being Lv1 as one would expect from reading the description. The first thing he notes is that Lv3 double attack lasts the same 120 seconds and as such the probability of all mythics following this pattern without exception is exceedingly high. Concerning Lv3 again, he says that he considers the DA proc rate to actually be higher than Joyeuse placing it at around 70%. Using accuracy gear swaps with a BST mamool that had no evasion marker, he was able to determine that the accuracy bonus at lv1 100% tp is +10. There were no tests done on Lv2 given the nature of magic accuracy.
Not Tizona related, but he did have a bit of new info about the BC fight. It seems that using the WS on Balrahn before he has said appropriate dialogue has no effect. I'm guessing this means it's best to pretty much let the fight play out like a cutscene.
Doesn't that alone make Conqueror and 2h mythics in general not as bad as people think?
Building 300 TP each 2 minutes in exchange of 100 TP in 3~4 attack rounds average for the duration of Aftermath seems a good payoff.
SAM one is debatable since Tachi: Rana is kind of meh, but WAR/DRG/DRK mythics seem quite powerful if the double attack is indeed that high.
The way I see it, its not about whether or not Mythic Weapons are 'bad'. Most of them are still marginally better/as good as the optimal, non-relic weapon for each individual job. The problem is, as long as RoTZ relics are still easier to obtain, there's no point in going through an extraordinary amount of work for a second class weapon.
That said, losing a potential +20 accuracy and 3x procs. is still a pretty significant trade-off.
