go ahead and top that
JP player by the name of Takuma on shiva has a completed Apocalypse, asked him about it finished in summer of 2008.
Congrats Goshtin, took you long enough.
yeah.. exactly.. and we'd need the nirvana done for anyone to find an answer, because all pet jobs work differently. only automatons have true WS attacks, but then again they're still different from playable characters so might adhere to different rules.
I dunno if mob tp moves can be double attacked upon, never really seen it with TP moves from mobs that are WAR job..
We're only assuming BP follow player WS rules as far as DA go, which is not necessarily true..
i personally started working on nirvana in around early feb and still have a long way to go..
currently at 30/100 TI, 85/150 NT and 0 on the other 2...
I dunno what the hell happened above me but congrats to Takuma and Behzat... i think
Oh snap, this also means Kenkonken got even better;
Go-Go double-attack Cannibal Blade! (with the DA attachment active VE Frame could become quite nasty with lv 3 AM)
What are we fighting? Dark Ixion? Just pull a crawler or something tiny in the 45 seconds you're waiting for your BP timer... get TP with a DD in your down time.
I'm going to someday try to SMN/SCH, alternate sublimation/siphon and melee in between pacts.
I bet it's totally doable and good way to maximize your time (provided there are small mobs in your immediate area)
i've done that before.. but resting and heavy mp usage from BPs still requires that I rest in between, so what happens is I'd end up doing sublimation from the time I get up, and once again the moment before I rest.. i never did a calculation for it so im not sure if it really brings in any good MP returns..
anyway, with Nirvana being the topic here. using that, and keeping TP, would necessitate that you take out weapon swapping macros.. and the only reason you'd ever want to swap out anymore with a Nirvana is for dark staff healing.
changing to b.staff for ele siphon makes like 3-5mp difference and one should have enough smn skill to hit a full 2nd tier BP extension.. which is more than enough for BP accuracy...
smn/sam isn't such a bad idea if you're totally focused on TP gain. but mostly only in signet and sigil areas where you can rest without losing TP, and where there may actually be small critters next to the NM you're fighting, if you're fighting normal mobs. /SAM also gives Hasso delay reduction and acc boost for TP gain which is useful, but the whole idea of it is highly impractical against any HNM other than Dark Ixion, which happens to allow for the roaming critter TP thing...
honestly SMN kinda sux at Dark Ixion because no matter how you line up, avatar pathing may lead to the avatar ending up standing where you want him to.
to me the avatar aftermath OAT is meant to be used only with free avatars, like Carby and Garuda.
Turtle and Behe have trash mobs nearby, Khimy, Cerb, Tia, Faffles have mobs that a DD + Smn could duo, Sandworm has the same thing as DI with trash mobs around it.
p.s. Yeah I'm working on Nirvana. ( I keep toying the idea of COR though, some nifty Slug Shots)
70k ichor, 70k tokens. Doing Salvage and assault casually as they can fit with work/nyzul runs. Farming Zeni regularly and sitting in on friend's runs to lot if trophy drops.
My play schedule can be limited with work so I'm pushing hard to finish those two. Currently I'm casually buying Alexandrite, but that's going to be my major bottleneck. The market is becoming cutthroat, it seems. As soon as Ein tops 100k I'll be focusing on buying every Alex I see (funded by Fishing FTW).
My best argument would be to look at other SMN equipment. All of the existing pieces that add to avatar accuracy/attack/critical hit rate apply to blood pacts thus far, no (critical hit rate where applicable)? The effect on Nirvana shouldn't be any different in that respect, so by extension a level 3 aftermath should allow OAT to proc on physical blood pacts.
Going from a job that never ever ever ever ever ever melees to a job that has a shiny weapon and needs to melee for it to be of use is going to be a tough prospect...
I mean, look at what everyone says about Izzy...![]()
Another thing to consider (and I could really see SE doing this) is that the Aftermath could possibly only apply to the avatar out at time of Weapon Skill. So if you WS -> Predator Claw, you may not be able to release, rest up, resummon, PC w/ double attack. Could be possible that the aftermath goes off the avatar when you release it.
And this would fall in line with previous SMN things, like the ENM ammo piece and buffs. And if this is the case, then the constant BP -> rest -> bp -> rest etc still better than melee shit mobs for 300 TP -> ws > BP x2-3, run off and melee again.
not to mention while running off and getting your TP you are not there to help support either.
So more I think about it....still not impressed at all with Nirvana, even if it can DA the BPs. Sill comes down to "nice solo piece"

Congratulations, fgt!
Wouldn't make much sense if you had to re-summon after AM; in fact wouldn't that wipe it out?
