Because it is the best sword for PLD and you should never ever take it off.

That being said I would still upgrade it because if you love PLD, its still worth getting.

I was already 25k Alex into it, is one just to quit that far along and say fuck it? No one thought it was a Haute+1 til about 10 days ago, so this argument is very very hard to stand imo this soon after the Jackyl info. Now for people starting, go ahead and make your own opinions/judgements, but people finishing in the next month or so, are doing it because they are far enuf along and/or actually want what they are doing.

Or hold off until other mythics are proven useless? idk, just seems like a huge waste of money to me, if its last item you could possibly want, despite money, i'd consider it, but otherwise... bleh

Yeah what Lyra said. Had them into Rat and when I hit my 20k mark and was reading around other upgraders, I naievely(sp) believed I could be first. Then Jackyl came out of left field (Big gratz to you btw, hope you're having fun with it as i'm intending too), but now im what they call "Second place is first loser." Yeah the money could've went to Excalibur (sadly enuf I have a stg. 3 in storage for adding insult to injury), but again, my own damn fault for thinking the Mythic could be an over powered power house and have all 3 AM's. Maybe it could've kept up in Excal damage with all 3 AM's in effect, but now... no chance in hell. Oh well, I'll enjoy it to the utmost, and I'd urge other Mythic Upgraders to not give up hope. Someday, something might happen? If nothing else, its at least not common

A lot of people I know think idling in accuracy gear is retarded and Excalibur is a complete waste of gil (even if you already have Aegis!).

Nah lol, that was Demonhunter, whom I ended up buying a huge bulk from (about 6k) @ the end to finish since he didn't like what Jackyl had informed us. OH NOES I BOUGHT DUPED ALEX?! So has everyone else at one point or another im sure. Ignorance is bliss.

its not done for, its still better than either chainsaw or hauteclaire. Its the best tanking sword, just not the best sword.

I think BLU and WHM mythic are way awesome, at least what they offer to the jobs.

BLU will entirely depend on the proc rate before we can say it's good, WHM on the other hand is great even if they don't WS.

Not just proc rate, but amount converted. If it's a reverse Ethereal earring, it'll be nice, but it might not be worth all that effort. If it's something really high, like 50-100% of damage though, the proc rate could be relatively low and the weapon would still be off the fucking hook.
