I'm not paying to see this movie, I'll stay home and watch my initial D live action rip 200 times.

I had a friend with a 9 second 70's model camaro. Don't think it ran fast top end wise. He also is an owner of the big truck crowd Plow hates so much. I don't really get into the tuners or the trucks. Used to get into classics. I guess if I had to pick a niche, it'd be the jeep crews. Never had a jeep, always wanted one for some reason. I guess because they are extremely fun in the summer. To be honest, I'm completely contempt with a luxurious Audi or Saab >.> I'd have sex with an RS 4
Rofl, I find it amusing that they go from stealing electronics to gasoline. That is where the true money is at.
I have no problem with big trucks, I have a problem with people that drive anything other than a 454 ss or one of the good lightning and think it's a sports car, especially with 35"+ tires.
I have an 88 wrangler as well, love the shit out of it cept the retarded ass peaugeot transmission that's kept it sitting in the barn for 2 years now cuz I'm too busy with other shit.
Ah but I am street legal, I had the 2nd best rotary guy in the world build and tune my engine. (inb4 do it yourself, sup needing a degree to touch a rotary)
And yeah, stock 240's are fun as shit to drive. You can bolt on parts to 250hp and turn it into a 5s 0-60 car as well. (Non turbo) What kind of S-13? Hatch? Coupe? I've been looking for a hatch actually, there's one on post that makes me wet.
Sick Church, my cousin has a stock 240SX. Only thing I've ever driven that handles better was my 92 Golf with fat tires on it (think they were 16x8). Wicked fun to drive though. I have an 85 300ZX as my daily now and it feels like a overweight pos compared to his car.
And pics are a while off Mugen, we got soooo many projects right now. haha
Just did a 1.8T swap into my 00 Golf 2.0(bought it with blown motor) which we need to finish. We have a '70 Torino GT with the 428CJ (but tuned to ~650hp... fucking monster), 71 Datsun 240z and a 67 Beetle slammed on Porsche spindles... all waiting to be wrenched on. And me and the old man don't get much time to put in work... so progress is slow. Painful.
Well the trailer looked a lot better than the previous movies, I never saw the 3rd one and I tended to FF to the few good race scenes in the first 2, but I might actually pay to see this one.
I'm guessing either the script was good enough, or the actors desperate enough, for all four of them to come back for a sequel.
I'm a car guy, I respect anything that people put their time into, but I'm so glad that I don't work at a parts store anymore and have to deal with the morons coming in looking for crappy spoilers, cheap intakes, and assorted crap while their car is spewing oil and sounds like it's about to blow up at any minute.
To join the discussion on cars, I currently have a 78 Firebird that I'm very slowly putting together as a quick cruiser, and a 69 C-10 that's just used to haul stuff around. I would like to get my hands on a 240 and mess with a RB sometime, but that'll have to wait for after college.
71 was before or after they made it crappy? I forget which year they pussified the engine.
Furion: My only advice is don't turn a 240 into a GT-R, the Silvia look is sick enough and if you can do the labor, about 3000 cheaper.
Well taken, and yes I do all of my own work except painting, including machining and engine assembly (It's nice being friends with the owner of a local machine shop).
I hadn't really looked into 240 setups in years, college and no money and all that, I just love the look of a 240 or Silvia.
If I ever get around to it I'd probably buy a full front Silvia clip from a friend that works for an importer and do the whole right-hand drive conversion for the hell of it. Have you ever done one on a 240? My experience with RHD swaps are limited to helping on a few Hondas.
Edit: Were you asking me about 71? My 78 has a hopped up 327 that I've had sitting around forever and the 69 is the stock original 327. I have a 455 but it's in need of some serious work and for the money I went with the good old small block, cheap and quick.
It really, really sucks. Your best bet would be to look at dealers and craiglists in the area and in Florida (assuming you're at NC state) and try to find an RHD, they usually sell for around 10k.
Putting in an SR20 however is pretty easy but finding the right clip is tough, especially since they're being marked up to the dollar and you'd pay extensive shipping to that area. Not to mention my buddy hasn't even seen many come in lately, mostly B16/20 and the like. I remember waiting for mine forever, then some guy posted he had one on craiglists and it was everything I wanted, harness, engine, gauge cluster, etc. Paid him 3k.
That sucks, the Honda ones were pretty easy but I'm not really a Honda fan.
Thanks for the advice, I helped on a few SR20 swaps and I don't remember them being too hard, it's been a few years and I haven't kept up with the tuners. (Worked at a parts store and then a machine shop, so the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was work on more cars)
71 they were still good, but I want to do an SR20 swap anyways. Have seen a few that are just nasty. For now it will just be the original straight 6 though.
You guys should hook up my 350 =D
I'll kick all your asses with my AE86 Trueno =D
Hmmm I may actually go see it.
This movie looks pimp
Vin is the best actor ever.
I'll prolly go see it. 2Fast 2Furious and Tokyo Drift weren't that great, but the first one was, and it looks like its gonna happen after Tokyo Drift.
Spoiler: show
