Swapped gear delay

This is extremely easy to test with MNK and Chakra in campaign. I had to change my Chakra macro to 2 steps (gay) because of shitty lag making it not register the equip swap. It would always miss the fact that I swapped to AF body and give me shitty HP returns :/

This is your macro I think, not lag. I do mine in the middle of fights and it registers fine. The gear swap does not always show as animation, etc. but as people have already said, when you hit the change macro, it is changed and when chakra comes afterwards, the JA uses the newly swapped gear. There are some potential issues with swaps, but if you could post your actual macro that might help.

The /wait I put in works and the extra "lag" doesn't matter to me at all, but it does on occasion cause me to lose target, but not very often. It works good enough that I haven't bothered to fix it. However, I like your idea below and will probably switch my <stpc> macros to that sometime.

/target <stpc> <--- you select target now
//curinggear; <--- you confirmed it so you change gear
/ma "Cure IV" <lastst> <--- you start casting the cure immediatly

Hmm, the wait probably gives you enough time to blink so you don't get the "select target" option before you blinked. However if you get cure locked where it takes a while to blink into the new gear set then I assume you would lose your "select target" cursor and consequently the rest of the macro execution.

It doesn't really matter one way or another. Best thing is to play the way you are used to and improve from there.
