If you have time and money seaplane rides are a pretty cool way to see the city and surroundings from above.

Damn those are all pretty far from the convention center. Unless there's some express bus that gets me there in 20 minutes or less it's out of my reach

If you want a place where you get a good view of the city, look up Kerry Park which is located on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. Chinatown has a lot of good places to eat (Samurai Ramen in the Uwajimaya complex for ramen, Jade Garden or House of Hong for dim sum, Tamarind Tree for Vietnamese/fusion are good examples). Might as well check out the UW campus as well because there's lots of good photo opportunities there (if you're lucky and go on a clear day, can get a nice shot of Drumheller Fountain with Mt. Rainier in the background). Space Needle is overrated, Pike place and the waterfront are a nice daytime event, there's a relatively new artistic park they built (Olympic Sculpture Park), also, the Seattle Art Museum is in the area if you'd want to see that.

Thanks all for your wonderful responses, <3 the BG community.

Big thanks to Vuitton in particular; have you ever considered tourism as a career? =)

I'm going to begin planning my schedule now...

If anyone has any more suggestions, feel free.

If you are going to Seattle, I would suggest you also take a drive through Snoqualmie Pass! It's really breath taking.

Oh, I just thought of another thing - does anyone know what the big football(soccer) pubs are in Seattle? I'd really love to catch the Chelsea - Spurs match. Thanks!

    George and Dragon Pub
    http://www.georgeanddragonpub.com/football.html

George and Dragon is the most popular soccer pub in Seattle. It is in Fremont, a district in Seattle, it is west of the University District, and North of downtown. I am not joking about how popular this place is. When people get done with their soccer games they'll go to G&D, and on big games on the TV, the place will be PACKED and they'll put huge screens outside the bar for everyone to watch.

Bus #26 will take you there. Here is the 26's Sunday schedule:

    http://transit.metrokc.gov/tops/bus/...s/s026_2_.html

You would catch it at 3rd and Pike on the right hand side (east) of the street, going North.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um...num=1&ct=image

You can see the crossstreets and what not for yourself.

If you don't have a means of getting to Fremont, and are afraid of taking a bus (super easy to get their via bus), you can go to the less popular bar, Fado, which is downtown Seattle.

(Edit: See my post on page 2 for better directions.)

This isn't Seattle, but what happened to the Chili's in Bellevue? I went by there last night and didn't see it.

Depart 3rd Ave & Pike St @ 09:25 AM On Route 26 East Green Lake

    Arrive Fremont Ave N & N 34th St At 09:38 AM

    Walk 0.4 mile NW to 206 N 36TH ST

    Regular Fare: $ 1.50

Sorry this is more accurate way of getting there. I guess the 28 doesnt run to that location on Sunday. The above is to get you there for the 10:00 am game. There is another one at 4:00 pm.

I have no idea. I don't frequent Bellevue very often. I didn't even know Western WA had a Chilis.....

There's one in Bellevue and Issaquah.

The question is whether the 's stands for is or was.

Yeah, I love seeing commercials for this place constantly, but there isn't a single one in the entire state of Washington.

Sadly, Dave & Busters looks like a cool place to go. I have two co-workers from Illinois and they both loved Dave & Busters.

I drove by one on my road trip from VT-WA... :/ Didn't have time to go in.

Thanks! We're not sure if we are going to rent a car yet or not. I take the bus almost everyday in Minneapolis, so I'm quite accustomed to it =)

In other news, I actually went to Dave & Buster's for the first time ever with my 10 year old brother a couple weekends ago. I wouldn't say it's anything amazing, just a big arcade with reasonably priced games (for the most part) and average food.

The Puyallup Fair is in a couple weeks if you plan to stay that long even though its like a 30 minute drive outside Seattle.
