Ok, I finally caved and bought the GOTY addition. I started a new game since I haven't played Fallout in a while (instead of loading up a saved character and jumping right into DLC), but I'm unsure of when it's a good idea to actually start the content. Right now I'm only up to level 7 or 8 and I don't want to get owned in a DLC area by going there too soon. Any advice on when it's safe to dive in? I don't want to get owned horribly by aliens or swamp mutants by going there way too early.
I just finished Point Lookout and Broken Steel, both have been great add-ons. Oh, and Feral Ghoul Reavers are a fucking pain in the ass, that is all.
What, you dont like spazzy zombies flailing at you with invincibility? I left fawkes to tank them and ran like hell
Fawkes helped, but I didn't like taking him to places with me because a lot of the time he'd steal my kills/do more damage and I wouldn't get any EXP for killing things, lol. Pretty much what I had to resort to was spamming them with the Plasma Rifle.
Spoiler: show
The Tesla cannon is so broken it's ridiculous. You can drop Vertibirds in one shot with it, yet it takes 2 - 3 shots to drop a person. Something doesn't seem quite right there lol.
i deleted my lvl 20/platinum save like a dumbass when i sold my original copy so now im starting over with the goty edition, any skills worth maxing for the add-on weapons/armor?
Not knowing the cap was 20 when I first started, I wasted perks on stuff like Swift Learner and Here and Now, and I should still be able to cap all my skills by level 30. Shame I can't go back and change my perks to good stuff :\
