I dont feel like waiting on a line for this but man do i want it. I really hope they arnt all sold out
So how great is this game? Never played a fallout before, saw some vid and screenies, and looks pretty good,
I'd be getting for PC since I just built an OP one, but with all the games coming out, it's expensive.
I need 2-4 Copies of WoTLK, just bought LBP, GoW2 is fully reserved, got some money down on CoD... I don't even have enough time for all of that, let alone adding another, and this is going to cost me like 500$ total lol.
NOPE gave a 9.6 for the 360 version and 9.4 for the PS3 version (apparently has a few additional bugs in it, how 2 years after the fact people still can't figure out how to code properly on the PS3 is beyond me). NOPE
Most of the knocks was from some technical glitches (which could likely be solved by patches) and clunky looking animation, which is sadly nothing new for a Bethesda game. The review says that both the 360 and PS3 versions have occasional framerate problems, and that assuming you have a top of the line PC, it's the best version to get.
Im about 10 hrs into the game and im absolutly loving it, the game is gorgeous and the game play is fun, I like collecting shit.
I tell you what, ive wasted 2hrs doing nothing but collecting junk and looking around.... and im having a blast.
This reminds me more of Morrowind then of oblivion. You have a true sense of "bam" welcome to the middle of somewhere you know completely nothing about.
I feel the same way, ive been just exploring and finding shit to sell.
Have you seen mole rats yet? They'll freak you out lol.
I tell you what i was wondering around the school and seriously jolted when a fucking ghoul pounded on a door then came after me.
Some of the shit Im seeing is straight up disturbing too. A cage full of small children's skeletons in the school. wtf lol...
Picked it up last night (was able to snag a collector's edition too...which I usually end up pre-ordering, but I didn't this time), but won't be able to play it til I get home from work tonight! I can't wait though.
I got myself over hyped for this game. Got it for the PS3, which soon after I discovered isn't going to get downloadable content like the 360 and PC. Utter bullshit. But now the game keeps freezing / crashing on me and I have to keep restarting.
I'm a sad panda. Overall the game seems great, but if it wasn't for the crashing and the heartache to think that I won't get the downloads then I'd be in love.
Is it the same as the old ones or has it been pc'ified?
For those with both consoles and wondering which version to plump for, here's another reviewer's opinion on the differences:
Taken from Giantbomb, who scored the game 4 out of 5 stars. The 360 version is no slouch, though. It might not be quite as pretty as the PC version, but it still looks fine. The load times remain pretty reasonable. The PlayStation 3 version is below the 360 version, by comparison. The level of detail when you're in the wasteland or other areas where you can see for great distances isn't quite as good, the game seems to be a bit more aliased, and the frame rate isn't as smooth. Plus, the PS3 version of the game doesn't have any trophy support (yet), and the game actually freezes every time a status message, such as "so and so is online" or "DUDE HOW DID U GET FALLOUT 3 EARLY!!!!???" is on-screen. That's bad enough to make you want to log out of the PlayStation Network before booting up the PS3 version of the game.
Sorry to hear this but should have taken time to read though the thread I said earlier in the thread that the 360 version has exclusive DLC.(not being an ass...) It was also announced at E3 and then again in quite a few other articles. Also wanted to add I know the PC version is going to look better but the 360 version is no slouch the game looks amazing.
Hmmmm after reading through this...I am wondering if there is any chance that I'll be able to switch my pre-ordered PS3 copy to 360....
Well I've known for a while by saying "soon after I got it" is a different time then normal considering I've had this game for a while weeks just can't discuss it with others since nobody else had played yet.
My 360 is dead and I'm not going to get another so I opted to get the PS3 version.
Gamestop. Didn't do a LE or anything, so I think I might have a shot. That Gamestop doesn't seem to get much traffic either, plus there are like 4 other ones close. I would think it wouldn't be too hard to swing, but I've never tried it before.
