He gives you caps and xp which is really nice, as far as ammo shortage its almost common, you just have to scavenge everywhere and collect junk and everything.

Also the people who buy and sell stuff their caps replenish every other day as well.

Yeah, I've found myself sleeping for 36/48 hours at my Megaton house just so I can sell more stuff back to Moira.

I laughed so hard during the Blood Lines quest when you knock on the door in Arefu and that woman answers in the perfect 1950s TV housewife voice. It was so surreal I couldn't help but crack up.

Moria's comments and my Robot Butler's jokes have caught me off guard a few times already, and Moria's only one of the mildly eccentric characters. Try unlocking Lady Killer/Black Widow too, you'll get some real laugh-out-loud comments.

That was one of the first perks I took actually. My most upgraded skills are small guns, science, speech, lock picking, sneak, and repair.

The butler jokes are pretty funny, but Moira's Wisconsin accent grates on me.

How do you get him to give you quests? I spoke to him (At night) and he just talked about stuff. Didnt offer me any quests or to sell stuff.

Die. I actually liked her, her quests were about the first thing I did once I got to Megaton.

To my ear it's like listening to my country relatives from the Maratimes, but just far too cheerful lol

I like the research quests though, they are fun. And having enough speech skill and charisma has allowed me to lie my way through a few annoying ones.

First u need repair skill above 30, ask him for a job, he'll ask u to fix some leaks, go back tell him u did it and he'll award u caps and xp. Also will ask you to bring any scrap metal and he'll pay u 10 caps per metal or u can give them free for easy karma points.

there is a room in the back of the lab of the two Ghouls who want Sugar Bombs with a few radiation barrels. You can open the manhole cover there and head through that way. Just watch out for those damn crab monsters, and the bombs/beartraps.

I said this in the other thread, but I find this game fantastic, probably my GoTY. There's a few minor bugs I've found but nothing that really mattered to me, and the amounts of "epic" moments I've had already make up for the silly but almost never serious fun I had in Fable 2.

The one on your dad's desk before you leave the Vault, the one in the Sherrif's house at Megaton, and one in Vault 106 (maybe it was Vaul 108? something like that), which isn't that far from Vault 101. My friend also mentioned that there's one in the house of "the important lady" in River City or whatever it's called.

Picked this up yesterday, ended up playing until 2 AM.
Finished helping the general trader in Megaton out with her Survival guide. I loved how well the Mole Rat repellent worked.

Wow the final leg of going to Galaxy News Radio is EPIC. It all felt fairly easy then I hit the final leg of having to plow thru waves of mutants and then finally that hueg Mutant Behemoth before you can finally get in

I am completely shocked about how much I love this game. As a senior member of Oldschool RPG Gamers Against Oblivion (ORGAO), I was conflicted going into this game. I knew I wanted to get it because the setting is amazing, but I didn't expect to actually love it. I mean, it's not flawless (did you need to have both condition breakdown and ammo limits?) but it's enthralling in ways oblivion wasn't and, thankfully, doesn't inherit oblivion's official Worst Leveling Mechanic Ever™.

No one is denying that the animation in this game is complete crap, it's to be expected from Bethesda. The only time I use 3rd person is to peek around corners when I know enemies are nearby.

And like Maxx said, Fuck Oblivion, all hail Fallout 3.

On the ammo shortage and break down, it to me felt like how a wasteland would feel, having to scavenge for stuff and putting repair to good use. Also if you find ur low on ammo there is a perk for finding more in ammo crates. Im not having any problems keeping ammo at all, right now im stocked to the teeth on each weapon I carry except sniper ammo. Also the game really isnt meant to be played in third person Sam, they added it so it woukld appeal to the people that cant play first person games or whine about them.

Like Krandor 3 said, all hail Fallout 3 the game is amazing and will win many goty awards.

The key to not running out of ammo is to just regularly switch weapons. I alternate between Combat Shotgun/10mm SMG/Chinese Assault Rifle/Hunting Rifle (for easy stuff) whenever one starts dipping kind of low on ammunition.

The Gun vendor in Rivet City usually carries ALOT of ammo too, so once you get there, you can usually head back to Rivet City to stock up. There is an alarmingly low amount of .308 ammo for the Sniper Rifle though, I don't think I've ever had more then 20 rounds at a time.

Also, if you ever find a Ripper (melee weapon) hold onto it and never let go, that thing is fucking beautiful for close combat (don't use VATS with it though) because it hits so damn fast.

Yeah I have a ripper, a shiskabob and a sword for mele atm. I also have developed a disarm and lockpicking complex. I have to disarm everything and lockpick everything, I guess cause I love the xp ;/ I have no idea if Resistance 2 can pull me off this game or not because im looking forward to playing resistance with friends from here and a few RL friends.

It was the same in Oblivion, though even worse in F3. Bethesda really needs to work on that. So many other companies make it work, it can't be that difficult.
