I've only disconnected from a game 3 times in probably 20 hours total of online play. It's not that bad.

This game is more Battletoads than TMNT with the wacky chase sequences and boss design.

The sheep level fucked me and my friend up and it was getting late so we called it a night. Definitely worth the points to buy the game. 4 player on the same screen has got to be madness.

Amazingly fun game, but the multiplayer really is fucked at the moment. Playing online with two friends, someone was DCing roughly every 10 minutes. It's definitely worth buying if you like beat-em-ups at all, the online play will get fixed soon, I'm sure.

Only question is, what is the level cap? Do you have to grind to unlock all the extra abilities?

Also, did they fix online?

I'm probably going to download this to play with my brother and sister, but It'd be cool to be able to play with friends online too.

Only question is, what is the level cap? Do you have to grind to unlock all the extra abilities?

Level cap is 99, and there are already people there. You don't have to grind really, you unlock characters by beating the game with your current chars or doing arena stages. I do fine on beating the game at around 25-30, which, depending on how much you die and whether you use the giraffe pet, is about where you end up from soloing the whole thing.

You probably WILL have to grind if you play on Insane Mode, but that's because it is, quite literally, insane. I've heard that even level 99s can get wiped out pretty easily, and given my short attempt at playing it a bit, that's entirely credible. There's no known rewards that require playing Insane Mode though, so it's purely e-peen.

Also, did they fix online?

Hasn't been a patch yet, but given that the devs were at PAX all weekend, I'd imagine one is coming soon.

Level cap is 99, if you level magic you get more abilities like a boost jump, magic combo, etc

There's supposedly a patch coming out soon to help with the online play

insane is fun as hell playing with 4 people. i really can't wait for that patch to come out, though. i'm kinda paranoid about getting all my shit deleted and on top of that getting dropped randomly sucks too. it doesn't happen all the time, though. one night was really bad and ever since then i haven't had any problems.
