best xbox arcade game ever
level 20 fire guy atm lol
Demo of this was totally awesome, only reason I haven't bought it yet is because I'm still playing through BC:R.
Definitely my next purchase tho.
Insane mode gets hard as hell once you get to the troll guy that pops out little trollsOn the plus side, every time I try that fight I end up gaining at least one level lol (at 54? atm). But yeah this game is fun as hell, I just wish the arena mini game felt like it scaled up
Dev blog (devblog.thebehemoth.com) is back up, and they say there'll be a patch out to fix the save corruption and online play as soon as possible.
My friend sent me an IM about downloading this, it looks extremely fun. Without a doubt putting KOTOR on hold to download the trial and most likely, the full game. It sounds so chill to just be able to play with friends online or locally in this sort of setting. It'd be perfect for lans between games or just chilling eating food or something.
yeah, that part is really hard. i ended up beating it with two other people, with us around level 35 on average. orange knight really really helps here, because you can spam his fire attack and it stuns the big guy for awhile. so we had orange knight cast, a skeleton archer, and me tanking/meleeing it. must've taken like 5 tries.
The bf and I spent the past 2 days playing this game. We beat it with 2 different characters each so far, unlocked all the pets. Shit is addicting. Haven't tried insane mode yet cuz we were just trying to get all the characters first.
Setsuko whats your XBL? I wanna play this shit with people I know but they've all got a bad case of teh jew atm.
edit; fuck i forgot my xbox broke
WAIT NO ITS TURNING ON NOW OMG
i dont actually own an xbox b/c of how they break so much (irony lol), but when i play at my bfs, his xbl is scunscun. i've watched him do a few of the vs battles online so far. those didnt rly seem to have any problems with crashing or maybe he just got lucky
im pretty sure my industrialist would rape in vs.
p.s. we also met the castle crashers artist at PAX. he drew a little castle crasher dude on scuns cc figurine box. pretty nice guy.
buying this tonight.
I was having so much fun with this game! Stupid red rings..
Wow, downloaded the trial today and this is the most fun I've had with a game in a long time. Gonna buy it once I get my CC back, is there alot of difference between the 4 Knights later on? 'cause they didn't seem to do much different in the demo, 2 had DoT, one froze and the other just did instant(ish) damage.
The magic differences get slightly more pronounced, but they follow the same basic theme with those four characters. Top button is generally a linear AOE of the element, right button is a "bullet" attack, bottom button is a magic-boosted jump that does close-range damage/status on enemies near where you jump from. The rest of the characters (unlockables) have a little more variation in magic attacks, and they follow the magic that that character has available as a monster, if applicable. My thief's basic magic attack (only one I have, because I'm building him as an archer) is a hail of arrows that falls from the sky in a line in front of him.
That's pretty cool, guessing stats are no different on each Knight, just depends on what you put points into? Don't want to start playing one that ends up as a shitty damage dealer compared to another one.![]()
i think there are different damage resistances built into the game, but i honestly cant say if there's a damage dealing difference per knight
if u want crazy insane dmg, beat the game with the blue ice knight. unlock industrialist. max out magic. spam saws on bosses. its so good
Stats are the same, just depends on weapons and how you distribute. There's definitely different resistances of some type, I don't know exactly how they work. My Green Knight occasionally does half damage (versus skeletons, for example), but his poison cloud absolutely rapes bosses because it hits multiple times. I'll make another caster tonight and see how it works, I'm kinda curious now too.
Most of my builds so far have consisted of picking one offensive skill (strength, magic, agility) and maxing it out, then going back and maxing out health/defense. You should be able to max out one skill by around 12-13, then the second by 30ish. I'm not really sure how well hybrids work.
Edit: I max out health second for one simple reason, if you can stay alive, anything that doesn't die quickly will still die more slowly than you. If you have to pull out the sword as a mage and do air combos on things, you'll do crap damage, but you'll last long enough to kill them with that crap damage eventually. If you're good at combos and avoiding damage, you could probably pull off a double offense build.
What's the max level? The demo capped out at 5 but I managed to get Attack to a little less then halfway iirc, do you start getting 1 point per level later on or something?
