I see two possibilities:

1) they've come across the same problem themselves and had a big discussion with opposing factions (just like we did) until it degenerated into a cultural touchstone (just like ours did) and will find it hilarious that we had the same problem

2) it's never occurred to them before and we're about to spark an *epic* debate on whatever forum elmer posts this on.

Actually, I think it would be interesting to ask if there are JP counterparts to most of the admin / dominant users, to go along with the Ruke/Kani question earlier. Not sure who else to ask about though.

Yes, I've meet several japanese mithra that are as pervy as me (if not much more extreme, if you've seen some JP blogs with pics of their character and such doing 'stuff" some like the very extreme stuff)

1. What is their take on Avesta? Is he a trend setter or some annoying kid no JP player likes? Personally I think he is a great RDM with an ass and bladder of steel but not a god like most retard NA's think he is.


2. I still remember the day Lei got banned and the forums (NA forums) had a minor explosion over it. I would be curious to see what the JP community thought of him/his LS. (This basically stems from me being on the same server as him more so I guess)

they may have stopped using it but for a long time they had (several) of their own. I don't know what the adoption rates looked like though.

Why are Japanese NINs so far behind the times? I mean, /WAR for king camps, they were obsessed with Yasha gear, and many of them just got out of the Osode/O-Hat phase like 6 months ago.

I'm actually pretty interested in where their main sources for detailed info are, especially regarding endgame. I've seen a couple of the JP Wikis but they are mainly very basic "skim the surface" material from what I can tell.

Lei didn't get banned, he deleted his character and made a mule named Lei. waste of 3 relics, but hell he deserved it, he upgraded a ragnarok.

Do they have any knowledge of hidden/latent effects on gear that may still elude us? Do they even care enough to test that kind of stuff out? Is it common practice to finely hone their gear builds through the use of parse results?

Oh, something to add, not really a question but since it wasn't mentioned yet, might I suggest that we offer the same deal in return? They answer our questions and they can then ask questions of our community. Who knows, they might find something we do totally bizarre that may warrant better explanation. :D

Actually, I'd rather know if they're as accepting of botting/3rd party tools as most of the NA endgame population has become over the past two years.

I have a question: is there a particular reason JP never TP burn Kirin?

Do they TP burn any big fights like that? Did it just never catch on?

We'd periodically get a JP group gathering when we were, and we'd ask them if they would let us pop first, since it would just be the 15 min ??? repop + 1 minute fight.

They would give us some strange responses, then say ok, then we a'splode Kirin and they're like "oh! good job!"

Did that never catch on in the JP community, or is it just thought better to do the kite til Smn's pop/die, whittle it down for 40 minutes method?


Hell, I was logging up there the night before a burn (we usually did them Sunday morning, so I would beat the porter the night before, since it's the hardest part of any Kirin fight), and saw a shell, Usukane Sam's and Nin's, Wars with almost everything short of Ebody, two or three Brds+ multiple people that I'm sure have Brd leveled, all the decked melees you could possibly need... whittling him down old school.

I actually asked one of my JP friends about this, he said in his LS they like the "Joy" of the fight >.> so I guess some of them like kiting and whittling 40min on a mob, but hey, to each their own!
