Um, sony does support XP on their notebooks. I have a SZ650N and branded Sony discs with all the drivers for XP Pro on them.

Newer sony laptop models with non-business vista, do not even come with any software discs. They tell you to create your own recovery disc using their built in software they adde din vista.

From the small research I did, that computer model is for the UK onry... Went to their support website and they don't offer drivers for windows xp, only vista >_>

Ironically the L1 model does have windows xp lol... Seems like you won't be able to install xp. However, I must mention that even though my laptop does have xp support, Service Pack 3 (windows xp patch) came with ALL the drivers for my laptop. I don't know if I'd recommend you trying it because you lack the knowledge and I don't want you breaking your PC lol. Your choice ;o

I'm not going to lie, Sony mailed my XP discs to me. Didn't cost a thing, but I also have Vista Business (also made my own Vista recovery discs). That said, their website currently has XP drivers up for my model (which is a newer model).

If you'd actually read the thread, OP is too ignorant about computers to have a close-held ideology about the quality of Vista. They bought a really shitty PC with Vista pre-installed and no XP drivers available, and Vista runs like shit.
