Yea the Duelist Tabard is the one that is going to make me cry. My LS is still iffy on adding Dynamis to our already expanding list of events. I could join another LS for Dynamis but its hard to find one that fits in my time slot.
Depending on the mob, I idle in darksteel+1.. I do own nashira as well though. I feel compelled to point out that even at a piddly 1100 HP, ogre trousers aren't adding 3% to your max hp and most things that would kill a RDM tank before cures can get off are physical. Same principle applies on backpiece, especially if it's nighttime for umbra >_>
Don't worry about JoL too much, all you really need to do is whore out dispel and blind and such. You're on the right track with MDB and blinking the single target nukes, it's really not worth fretting over. The only thing that might throw a wrench at you is Astral Flow, but it's infrequent at worst.
The real issue is the expected ninja-buff of JoL to close within melee range combined with the fact that people not might want to use their sets until after the patch when AV is weakened.
That's what we're also waiting on to be honest. To see what they actually do with AV and JoL. Other wise, I'd leave the tanking to the professionals.
It'd be the dick thing to do, so of course we should expect them to do it. SE usually offers candy while holding a baseball bat in the other hand, why should this be any different?
The way they phrased it doesn't scream nerf to me.. it seems more like 'kill within X period of time or mob will rage and buttsex you so you don't get more media shit on us for playing 18 hours straight'.
If it was just a nerf, why the hell include JoL? I'm not saying it isn't, but it wouldn't be the first time SE did something like that.
Crimson Scalemail also works as a standing piece if you don't have Dalmatica/Morrigan's. 40 HP/MP, 55 DEF and -10% breath damage is quite good to have.
(40 HP contributes toward enmity lost while taking damage also)
