Well the funny thing about Shantotto is that she was just a standard NPC that got given a lot of personality. She's just one of the cookie cutter NPCs from the beginning of the game, she just got really popular.

Well, she did make a few appearances in ToAU missions as well... the fight with that Khimaira type mob was pretty cool.
Seeing her cast Fire for over 1k was pretty awesome.

Heh, I think its kind of funny that Shantotto's... Ex Mode is an equipment swap.

You see, for those that have not played FFXI, in FFXI you can assign keys or buttons to work as macros that have your character instantly do a technique or switch your gear to boost a special skill at a certain time. For example, Samurai normally have a set of equipment they equip to boost their accuracy and how much technique points they gain per attack, than once they get 100 technique points they use a macro to switch their gear for something with more attack power to deal more damage for their Weapon Skill.

So one could say Shantotto is using a macro to equip stronger gear for her Ex Burst xD
I thought this was kind of funny and cute, comment if you like~

She's been portrayed as even more powerful in WotG's Windurst line. Though you don't get to see her fight.

Hmm, I had no clue.
I started the initial quests on the Windurst path and I didn't even finish the first one (yes, it's not even hard or tedious... I know).
I kinda lost interest and headed off to San d'Oria and Bastok to do their quest lines.

I might actually do the Windurst quests someday but the whole male Mithra deal (after seeing what he looks like anyway) is a turn-off.

I liked the windurst storyline more than Sandy. I hated those kids the quests revolved around.. havnt done bastok yet.
I'd say the second ff11 character is going to be the main antagonist from the new shantotto expansion

She was seen in the most recent Windurst [S] quests nuking the shit out of some Gigas/Quadav convoy because she wanted in on the fun. I think she's more befitting than the other main nation storyline NPCs for this position in Dissidia except for perhaps being tied with Ajuido(sp?).

YESSS! She voice acted Ranma's female side too, which if by all assumptions since both characters are highly arrogant, she'll sound like a true bitch.

Everyone has one and I doubt I'll agree... I'll find out one day though.
(The fact that Tarutarus, kids and Mithras all piss me off for some odd reason probably doesn't help)
