I just remembered now, in Final Fantasy V, you can find either the Brave Blade or the Chicken Knife. The Brave Blade is very strong, but permanently gets weaker as you run away from battles, and the Chicken Knife gets stronger (only temporarily I think?) as you run away, but also has a random chance of forcing you into a runaway.

Wonder why they would pick Brave Blade of all things?

Been forever since I played IX, so I don't remember what their clothing looked like. I remember it being plain, but I can see them doing that just to give him at least one alternate.

his extra costume should be his red haired friend. the guy that got petrified at the beginning. they could keep all the moves the same. they were both Thief types. they could do the same with Squall -> Siefer (think that's his name) except Squall actually wore another costume in the game. and any other character that didnt have another costume with a character close to themselves. Though they'll probably just end up making original costumes for them.

FFXII's Dr Cid is my favorite Cid. I'm really surprised that they haven't included FF12 in this game (unless they will announce it, but highly doubtful seeing as how the game is coming out in like 2 weeks)... Balthier and Dr. Cid would've made a perfect addition to the game.
