They didn't change his name, that's just how he's called in JP. Terra is also Tina in JP, and Tidus is Tidu.

Frioniel is named Firion in the English version of FF2
FF3 was never released in the US prior to the DS remake so Luneth is the remake equivalent of the Onion Knight (he appears as the another form of OK... Onion Knight was remade into a different job class in FF3DS)
Golbeza (jp) = Golbez.
Butz (jp) = Bartz
Tina (jp) = Terra
Cefca (jp) = Kefka
Tina (jp) = Terra
Tidus name is read Teedah but officially spelt Tidus in jp

Look at some weapon comparisons for the mage class types!

Shantotto's Claustrum - Brave +40, ATK +67, EX Mode Duration +40%, Battle Start: Brave +20%
Terra's Maduin's Horn - Brave +40, ATK +67, EX Mode Duration +40%, EX Core Absorption Amount +20%

Then there's this:

Stardust Rod - HP +307, ATK +66, DEF +3, >> Magic DMG +25% <<

I'm working on getting Jupiters staff but it's such a bitch to get these weird items. -.-; I also want those +CP items but those have even randomer shit to get. :/

why +CP? when you master abilities their CP equip cost gets halved (for certain special ones its reduced to zero) and this allows you to add a whole lot more abilities than you really need to. Its mostly the extra category that you'd wanna get CP for i guess..
theres likely enough space for attack abilities all the time.. and most support abilities (the auto-stuff) are not worth wasting CP on
if you grind coliseum (like say 30-60 on a lv100 character) on AP day or special day... you'd get to master a lot of abilities pretty quickly..

its a nice way to get AP, experience (if u're not 100 yet), craft items and some sort of practice at the same time... imo the more interesting way to get your rosetta stones for the characters u wanna use...

Oh I didn't know stuff got cheaper. Thanks for telling me that. I had a bit of CP problems leveling shantoto, because 40 CP x6 for her element attacks is kinda rough. They are all close to master, and she is already level 100. Just trying to get her best weapons.

How the hell are you supposed to get 100% in a story? I played shantoto's like 4 times and it's still only 96%. I have all 3 stars, got every item/beat every guy etc. But it's still not going higher. What could possibly be missing?

I just started playing this game a few days ago, and I was hooked almost immediately. I can't believe I am having so much fun with a fighting game, this normally isn't my genre. >.> I haven't really decided on a favorite character yet, trying to level them all at the moment and see which one I like the best.

Regarding the game, how do I unlock the summons, or are they lvl restricted? I just picked up the game again and lvl Terra to 60ish.
