Personally my money is going on Kam'lanut and/or Earl'narche being the other FFXI representative. I really don't see Shadow Lord getting the nod in a game like this, unless they're wanting to add a big Zanghef like character to the mix.

They already said they'll announce her "opponent" soon. Could very well just be neutral characters though. In game shots of her, fuck yeah they kept her laugh.

Definitely different to the other picture. I think they said something about every character having 4 costumes or something. I know they're all going to have atleast 2. So it's either an alternate outfit or she changes to that during EX mode or something.

Yeah, I'm thinking the outfit she's in where she's owning the Warrior of Light (makes me think of BLM relic, also Dark Staff lol) is probably her EX mode outfit or something.

I cried when I found out about it. Definitely going to be my favorite character in the game as long as the voice acting is reasonably well.

On another note, if the FF1-10 characters are going to be the main selection, how likely is it that we see FFXI-XII, FFT, and FFTA (Maybe 2) games having their own secret characters?

Edit: Also, I'll take my guess on Eald'Narche for the villain if they go the Light/Dark scenario. Eald'Narche was the driving force in RotZ and is more powerful than Nag'Molada. The latter was just someone who was attempting to awaken Promathia and free him from his chains to destroy the world.

Edit2: One more thing. If they do ditch it, I hope they add in Naja Salaheem.

Shantotto is a badass and all, but Gilgamesh coulda' been a nice addition... perhaps still possible if they leave it neutral. I doubt it though.

I think a tinier Shadow Lord or Raogrimm with the SL as his EX-Mode would make the best choice for a XI villain, since he's unique looking and story-wise he triggers virtually all major storylines. However, I'm betting on Shantotto being the only FF11 character. (The "secret" characters don't really need a corresponding hero/villain.)

I like how in those pictures, Shantotto has a crap load more HP compared to Warrior of Light, and ends up somehow with 9999 Brave ala Sephiroth ;o (Except she's much cooler). And omg at the Dark Staff! They really kept true to the FFXI style, but obviously improving on it graphical wise.

I am kind of hoping they upgrade Shantotto's in-game(FFXI) model a bit. Like if she gets a new costume in this(EX mode, whatever), she will wear that in the game. For such a popular character she is plain as hell. Probably not likely though.

Megumi Hayashibara confirmed for Shantoto; But it's not like that matters unless you import it, I'm sure that if this comes stateside they are gonna have different VAs for the NA version.
