Stone Gorget - Solo Advice Needed

If you wanna try the dem one solo... i think you will NEED npc for sure ^^ also i wouldn't try it in anything else than dnc/nin or blu/nin, prolly the 2 most powerful solo job at this level... dnc is a bitch to kill, especially with shadows. It hits like a pussy but your main problem is to survive ^^. Blu offers you some nice cure + cocoon, problem is mp, you will need lot of ethers etc. I think dnc/nin + healer npc and being prepared for a long fight is your best bet. You will need for sure the best gear you can afford, and especially empress hairpin, of course .

About rdm/xxx : doesn't offer enough to be a viable option imo. Doesn't even have SS, i don't know why you would try this with this job, except because you don't have the other's one leveled (and well, if you really wanna try it solo i really suggest you leveling dnc30 and getting a npc ^^)

I don't see you soloing that NM, but what I can tell you is it is about 1hr repop exactly probably, it hits hard as fuck, the rare/ex trigger is 100% drop. What I can tell you about the higher one is: I am 2/14-16 on stone gorget from it, so take that as you will, and I had TH.

I can tell you 100% sure that it is not a 1 hr. repop, I was obsessive about getting a stone gorget, and did plenty of Dem Runs, so again, I can assure you it is not a 1hr pop.

Also, I am not completely sure, but it may not be a 100% drop on the r/ex Remnant. I recall awhile ago getting two of the Map Spheres, but I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Your NPC can solo the MRs, even with strays wailing on him/her. Kill the initial strays, engage the MR so that your NPC attacks it, then back out of AOE range and toss your npc some cures as needed. Stray hate is glued to your npc no matter how much you cast cure. Toss in DoT on the MR to speed things up.

Disclaimer: I have done this MANY times, but always as a healer with an attacker NPC. NPC was therefore doing decent damage to the MR and also had counter to occasionally block stray attacks. Your mileage with a healer npc may vary, but I still think this will work fine.

How do you explain the fact that we waited in the zone, and it was exactly 1hr? I have killed this more than you, that is a promise.

Does it have something to do with the fact that there are two "third floors" and the NM can pop on either one, maybe?

Also, does any of the advice here transfer over to Holla's NM? I've wanted a Hamayumi (and the Holla map) for a while.
