This way we know how much information that we are going to get on any given week. Only put advertisement for cheap, tacky jewelry or invigorated web sites between or after update notes- otherwise you will enrage your playerbase hungry for news. Try to space out at least 2 update notes a week, include filler like new items and Moogles in Selbina- it is better than no news. For the love of god, don't ever skip a week again- ten days is entirely too long between notes. You can also buy a little breathing room before the playerbase starts gnawing off their arms if you make your initial annoucement about the next update and give a timeframe of when news will start appearing, for example "Check back in two weeks for more news and blah blah blah." The point of these teasers is to excite the players for the contents of the next update, you do this by having a steady and predictable news flow for them. I am not sure about other sites, but at least around here, people start getting a little rabid without enough news to keep our (false) hopes up for the next update- you can distract us from debating (bitching about) AV and PW which gets a little frustrating after awhile. With just a few PR basics you can keep people happy, well, maybe not happy, but at least bitching about new things.
XXX, OOO,

P.S. I'll write your teaser notes for you. I'll write the hell out of them.
