Just wasn't anywhere near as good as the first really. The harder difficulties changed from being able to do it if you were good at the game to annoying cheap enemies thrown at you constantly in masses. Also a terrible amount of slowdown when there was a decent amount of enemies on screen which made it annoying to play.

Coming from someone who has completed NG2 completely (full 1250), there's tons wrong with NG2. Broken/cheap enemies, a horrendous camera, framerate problems, corrupt system files, forcing you to restart the entire game...

Then the glitches. There was a glitch where if you died and continued in a certain room in Ch. 10, you could not possibly finish the game unless you had a save from the start of the chapter. They patched that, though.

Then came mission mode. When it first came out, the achievements weren't posted on xbox.com, so when you unlocked one, the game completely screwed up, telling you to re attach the hard drive every single time. That was fixed though. However, the patch that enabled you to play Mission Mode made finishing the single player game literally impossible. It freezes during certain cutscenes, which are skippable if you've already finished the game once. However, no matter how many times you've played it, it freezes without fail right before the final boss fights, making it literally impossible to finish the game with this patch. You can clear the cache, but you cannot play NG2 online, and upload your karma score if you plan on playing the final set of bosses. This was released over a month ago, and still no fix.
