she knew her son was going to have Down syndrome before he was born but her beliefs be it good or not I wont judge that. Prevented her from having an abortion. So she knew ahead of time what kind of life and the kind of attention needed when it comes to a special needs child and had the child anyway. She didn't put her career on hold like other moms do instead she choose to go on ahead and put her career ahead of her family. Now if she was to stay Governor of the relative small population that makes up Alaska that would be fine but she choose to advance her career further ignoring the needs of her family even more. You claim that this would allow opportunities to open up for her other children yet she will neglect her Special needs child.

    again What a mom

The 38 million people Nielsen is reporting could grow once PBS and CSpan viewership is factored in to the total.
I watched it on PBS! I don't like not being counted

And I watched on CSpan. I don't need to hear Olbermann and Matthews yapping.

We employ about 30 individuals wiith down syndrome, I know every one of them and their parents on a personal level. They are great people, they and their parents. They love their life. Seriously, get the fuck out with the abortion bullshit. Get the fuck out with the "I don't think she can take care of her kid" bullshit. She has a ton of support with other kids and a husband. You have shown yourself to being absolutely ignorant. Parents make sacrafices for their children to get better chances in life, get over it. I made the decision not to pursue a law degree because I had a kid, but there are thousands of people who do it anyway. My DA friend had a child in high school when she was going through law school. Her kid cooked, cleaned, and did for herself. It's hard, but it's rewarding in the long run. I really don't see the problem of providing huge opprotuniteis for your family instead of being with your child every waking moment (who is an infant and will not remember anything under 4 years old).

Rhinox, you really need to stop being a douchebag.

I doubt your 24 year old ass has any clue about parenting, let alone being the parent of a kid with downs syndrome. Have some god damn respect for those who do have a clue.

And you act like she'll compete neglect her child, pulling "boarding school" out of your ass. Yo have no fucking idea how she'd handle it. Will it be the same as being a housewife, I doubt it. But millions upon millions of wrking parents dump their children off into child care facilities for 10 hours a day. That doesn't make them bad parents. Society has advanced from the stay at home mom and working father. Fuck, why am I even arguing this, I'm not the one looking stupid.

I have a cousin who know someone who knows another person with down syndrome so I feel can make comments too!

Learn to fucking read I said I won't Judge her for not having an abortion because I haven't been put into that situation. Having the child meant she acknoledged that she knew the kind of attention the child would need yet decided to accept the VP nod because "My daughters might get to go to stanford." which is complete bullshit reason considering McCain slogan of "Country First". Fuck for someone who claims to know 30 Parents with kids with down's you sure do not know dick about the attention and vigilance required especially when they are young.

here is some reading I recommend:

    http://www.uihealthcare.com/topics/m...dhd/index.html
    http://aappolicy.aappublications.org...rics;107/2/442

Or better yet go ask the parents of the 30+ Down syndrome children you claim to know

See that's just the thing, what fucking difference does it make whether the kid has down syndrome or not?? They said that shit within five minutes of the "breaking news". Give me a break.

Looking back at it I guess it was a Harsh criticism but the message still the same how the fuck is she planing to look after her special needs child and be the Vice-president of the United states? And Ty the fact that you equate working moms with Vice Presidential candidates is pretty ridiculous.

Not at all when you are making the comparison to working mothers with special needs children. I'm sure the campaign trail will be a couple of months of hell, but hey, maybe the kid will go with her, what do I know (or you). Other than that, Dick Cheney has time to shoot people in the face, the president is at the Ranch everytime I look at the TV, something tells me she'll have time. Then again, you're the VP expert, you know exactly what she can and cannot do.

I hope "MY YOUNGEST CHILD HAS DOWNS" doesn't become the new "FIVE AND A HALF YEARS IN THE HANOI HILTON"

McCain will die in office and she will be president, if she tries to be like Bush and just be on vacation 50% of the time she will probably be impeached

I'll take your word for it. Since you know what the parents go through you still think that a mother can give the necessary attention that is required and yet still be VP/President of the biggest western democracy?

Edit: you somewhat answered that even though i disagree.

and Sure I'm the VP expert Have Sarah Palin Call me and I can give her a few pointers. 773-746-1372

She travels as a governor, or at least I would think she does. Our governor seems to get around the state quite a bit. She'll just be on a larger scale. She'll also have a private plane and the largest mommy support group anyone can imagine. If she's on the phone, someone will be there to change the diaper. She also has a husband and other competant children. Let's not sensationalize this, she won't be there everyday. She'll have duties that will need to be adhered to. Something tells me that there will be amenities for her if she does get into office. I think her and the kid and her family will be A-OK.

Yeah Rhinox, you need to drop the downs parent angle. The child does have a father in it's life, you know, and there's no national obligation he has (that I know of) which would cause him to have little time for his child. Second Gentleman is perfectly capable of doing the majority of parenting if need be.

    On another note, I love how conservatives are so grudging about how popular Obama is and the kind of excitment/interest in politics he creates- it's like you can taste the bitterness they have about not having an exciting candidate ; ;
