wtf man.. I wake up this morning to find out Merrill Lynch was forced into a buyout by Bank of America. And it looks like Lehman Bros isn't gonna get a buyer so they're going out of business the old fashioned way - liquidation. Plus now it's spreading into the insurance industry, and the Federal Reserve is now refusing to back any loans it takes on. Should be an interesting day for the "free" market...

Oh yeah... and now they're even hiding who's entering the White House.

As for the financial meltdown (I love that headline) - Somewhat expected to be honest; those banks couldn't have been able to upkeep all of the risky loans they have made throughout the years. We just had this false sense of 'financial freedom' that the banks fed to people; we the people were the backbone of their stability, once the Middle Class took the plunge it was inevitable that it would have a ripple effect. We're the worker bees; we die they die simple as that to be honest, at least in my eyes.

I completely agree - however it is far from a stable situation (as shown by the spread of this mess into the insurance industry) and the fact that it was caused by a severe lack of oversight over the past 25 years.\

And now that the shit's hitting the wall, the corporations who were gaming the system want the government to step in with a bunch of new socialist-style bailout regs, including corporate welfare, and McCain wants to give it to them. Fuck that and fuck McCain - they did this to themselves. Let them rot while I buy up the shares for 5 cents each and prepare to make a bundle off their misery.

Rove has leveled similar criticism against Obama.

The Obama campaign immediately leaped on the quote.
