Well the article puts some emphasis on future aggression- specifically McCain's saber rattling towards Russia, and of course his stance on "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran." Realistically at this point, given the ongoing negotiations and timetables, withdrawal from iraq under mccain or obama wouldn't be hugely different; the difference would primarily be residual presence. It's more about the likelihood for a better overall policy.
umm, I'd say he's supporting Obama in this election, despite the lack of legitimate 3rd party options. But I now see that Obama is almost the ideal candidate for this moment in American history. I disagree with him on many issues. But those don’t matter as much as what Obama offers, which is a deeply conservative view of the world.

I love it. Rush is getting a taste off his own medicine and now he is crying foul. Boohooo
It was really taken out of context. The limbaugh laws he is talking about are actually mexican law. I don't understand why this is linked to McCain at all. It's a very devious ad.
Edit: Here we are.

So why not respond to that 'sex to kindergarden' show?
Why do people constantly try to destroy people's lives by insinuating they are racists?
I think it's disgusting that people try to use racism as a weapon. A weapon that Obama continues to use against his political opponents.
well, Rush is a racist.
also lawlz at the new McCain ad

I really don't care whether or not Rush is indeed a racist, but exploiting the prejudices that minorities and immigrants have gone through is one of the lowest things you can do.
I loled at the press release's suggestion that McCain "shouldn't be throwing stones from his seven glass houses."
Welcome to politics. Please check your coat at the door.
People use tactics that would benefit themselves. I can go down the list if you'd like.
Huckabee playing the religion card
Obama playing the Race card
Clinton/palin playing the sexism card
Mccain playing the ageism card (although its ok when palin pokes fun at Biden age for some reason)
This isn't new. Mudslinging has been around since free elections started being held. I don't know why it is such a shock to you it isnt to me.
Ok, sure. But.
You're saying you're ok with all of that?
The obama ad is an example of something entirely different. Since you used the card analogy I'll explain it this way: Obama isn't playing a card that is in his deck or in McCain's deck.
I am 100% fine with people being proud of who they are, and willing to defend who they are. However, once again, I have a problem with those that exploit people not even in the game.
wait. are you saying that immigrants have nothing to gain from this election? I'm really not sure where you're going with this.
and exploiting the children isn't?I really don't care whether or not Rush is indeed a racist, but exploiting the prejudices that minorities and immigrants have gone through is one of the lowest things you can do.
This isn't a mudslinging ad. It's sole purpose is to insult illegal immigrants and mexicans, and assign that hatred to someone else. Supposedly someone who deserves it.
Why is Obama putting Limbaugh (not running for political office) quotes in an ad?
How does the following picture/caption belong in any ad?
consider this:
-much of the Mexican-American community is pro-immigration(pro making it easier)
-much of the M-A community enjoys the Spanish language
-the hispanic community, much like the black community, suffers from poverty, schools in bad areas, problems overcoming institutionalized discrimination, etc
-the conservative element in politics has disparaged mexicans in general using illegal immigration as justification
-the GOP has pushed countless state/local initiatives to essentially remove spanish from schools and public documents
-the GOP doesn't care about the effects of institutionalized discrimination and community development
Problem (for Dems) is that much of the mexican/hispanic community is strongly religious, so even though much of the GOP agenda hasn't done much of a service to their community, some still "cling to guns and religion" in a way, so it appears Obama is trying to appeal to the hispanic community by pointing out GOP faults related to their concerns.
