That relocation is from their natural habitat. You wouldn't want someone coming and picking you up from your home and moving you to some place you have no experience with just to save polar bears a few cents on gas would you? You're right that he said he would drill in Alaska if it was the only way to get others to move toward an alternative energy plan. I'm not pretending like I agree with him on everything but I seriously doubt he would try to sue the federal government for putting an endangered species on the endangered species list.

We relocate humans all the time to make way for highways. They are usually relocated in a close proximity, but we have no idea where they'd of relocated those bears, and quite frankly, I don't really give a shit about a polar bear either. I just think people are sensationalizing (and they are, you bought into it) the story to make it seem like she doesn't give a shit about the animals and sued the govn't for pure hatred of white bears.

You know, I'm really tired of "Experience" comments and arguments. Some of our best and most popular presidents had almost no political experience(maybe that's even why they were good...)

Also, what experience exactly is relevant to the presidency anyways? being a governor is the closest alternative, I don't see how being a senator, a business owner, etc prepares you for the *presidency* in terms of work experience, they're not even remotely the same type of position. I cannot fathom the logic of people that allows them to think applying for a job in engineering with your primary experience being a candy striper is somehow relevant. But they'll still spout the "experience" line every chance they get without ever THINKING about it.

Far as I'm concerned both are equally inexperienced when it comes to the presidency. McCain's VP is more qualified than him.

"Relocating" our people for highways isn't quite the same thing. It's a life or death situation for a polar bear and that is not the case for us. If you don't care about species other than our own then I don't expect you to see this debate any other way. I don't think she sued them because she hates polar bears I think it is stupid to sue them for trying to protect an endangered species. I think we can agree to disagree on the drilling issue because it comes down to whether you care about protecting the animals or not. I certainly don't dislike the choice on this issue alone it's a combination of things. I'm tired of experience comments like the guy above but what was the republicans main attack on Obama? They claimed he didn't have enough experience and turn around and select a person who is arguably less qualified(in my opinion) than him who could very easily become president.

Comparing Palin's experience to Obama's is ludicrous. Citing "executive experience" relevant to being president from being a Governor of a state of 700,000, much less a mayor of a town of 7,000, is retarded. "executive experience" in either case involved no foreign policy, no national agenda, and no understanding of how national politics works (hay guyz how do I vp? ^_^).

Obama has said he'd be open to increased domestic drilling, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean he's gonna take polar bears off the endangered species list and open up ANWR. Not to mention that increased domestic drilling won't have any short-term real effect on our supply- if we really want a change in energy/fuel, we have to start really pushing alternatives.

This line of thinking just baffles me, it doesn't matter what kind of animal it is. Do you really think that it's ok to endanger any species to the point of extinction just to lower your gas prices slightly? The smart thing to do would be invest in alternative energy rather than destroying an endangered species' habitat for a temporary fix. What comes after all of the oil in Alaska is gone, we're left without oil and an entire species.

I don't think we need to discuss the polar bears anymore, because i do not think they're in any way in any danger of being extinct due to them being taken off the endangered species list for drilling, because only completely oblivious morons would do so. Barring the voters, who are in fact completely oblivious morons, that is.
