I want to watch a Couric interview of Obama beside a Couric interview of Palin. If you had said O'Reilly Obama vs. O'Reilly Palin that would have made more sense.

You can still get a general idea of someones strengths and weaknesses based on how well they articulate and field difficult questions even if the questions pertain to different jobs and different situations. I think the point is that even the VP should be somewhat well spoken and able to handle an interview in which they are asked questions about their running mate and their qualifications.

Not only that but due to McCains perceived age and health people are looking at Palin with a little bit more scrutiny because they see a real possibility that she would become president at some point if they were elected in.

Apparently you can't properly assess the absolute fucking stupidity of a candidate unless you have the same person asking them the same questions.

Look, I'm still unaffiliated when it comes to politics... but every interview I've seen Obama in on any network has yet to portray him as a mindless puppet. Palin's tripping over words like her shoes are tied together and we're supposed to believe she can lead the country?

If she can get through a whole speech without using the phrases "Uh", "You see", "Well", "Yea", and "I, uh" within 10 seconds of each other then she can consider herself a viable candidate for such an important position of leadership.

Don't even get me started on McCain. He's just flip flopping around so he can get votes at this point.

If you seriously believe he's the right man for the job by all means cast your vote - it's your right - but the amount of political bullshit he is spewing is just too much for me to believe he's the right man for the job... especially considering his shotgun pick for a mindless drone that answers a question on foreign policy with "well uh you know I don't know".

This is the point I was trying to make said in a more eloquent way. It does not matter if the questions asked Obama and Palin are biased or different it does not take away from the fact that Palin struggles to form sentences and stutters on every question she is asked and it does not help instill confidence in her ability to be a VP or even possibly a president if McCain kicks the bucket after they are in office.

Also, do you think that somebody trying to take office as a vice president or even a president should conduct themselves the way she has? Yes/No?

Forget the fact that she's a woman, or that Obama's black, and put yourself in the shoes of a Board of Directors hiring a CEO. Are you looking for someone who can tackle adverse issues and gender/race/religion bias and get the job done or are you looking for someone who plays those social-cards as the victim and hasn't shown a single shred of integrity?

Think about that for a second.

Here's my opinion on the whole Palin experience thing.

I could be convinced she isn't ready for the VP slot etc. But I can't be convinced that somehow she isn't ready and Obama is. Either they're both ready or they both aren't.
