those 94 dems have arguably fucked up, but there's more republicans blocking this thing and at a much greater ratio. personally I think that as ugly as the situation is, we do need to bailout to keep functioning well. a huge dive in the stock market plus loss of lending ability/liquidity is gonna snowball and we won't be looking good globally.

The only thing I don't get not to place blame, is why did Pelosi give a speech before the vote give a "blame the republicans and blame the president". If they knew there were going to be such a huge amounts of republicans against it, why start the vote with creating even more people upset about things? Pretty much sums up my views. It's easy to run around saying that the free market will sort it out if we just leave it alone, but people never seem to realize that that does NOT say anything about where our economy will end up after that "correction". It's like assuring someone that it's OK if you shoot them in the head, since their brain matter flying out the back of their skull is just a consequence of conservation of momentum.

If you want to go to your college of your choice and you can't get a loan to help pay for it, go to a secondary college or a cheaper college.

If you want to own a single family home of your choice and you can't get a loan or not qualified, get a townhouse or an apartment.

If your business wants to invest $30,000 to buy a truck and use that truck to increase your business, yet you can't get a loan to buy that truck, then save some money and buy that truck later.

Isn't that the big problem? People buying on credit? How many of you are in debt right now? I am debt free in my late twenties. Went to a community college, saved up, worked, went to a Uni. I drove a 1982 Toyota Corolla when I was 18 until I was 25. Loved that car. Don't we live within our means anymore?
