I think that Harun Yahya guys book tried to show that creatures haven't changed by comparing today's bugs/animals to fossilized ones. Apparently some of the pictures of recent bugs were actually pictures of lures made for fly fishing.

Sadly Biden can't really tear into Palin as we'd all like to see him do. If he's harsh on her, she'll play the victim card and McCain's campaign will paint him as a bully. Since Palin is OMGSOFOLKSY and Biden is kind of a douchebag, the charge will stick and might drive away more female votes. All he can do is stick to his campaign's positions, keep his own answers locked down(IE remembering who was president when and whether or not TV existed at the time) and give her enough rope to hang herself.

Now, as to the financial crisis, Paulson's job is one of those that "serves at the pleasure of the president(slurpslurp)", right? Congress doesn't have the authority to fire him? If so I really hope Pelosi gives one of her oh-so-scary speeches about getting his ass out.

In a related note, Aurik, a couple pages back you said the credit freeze had to do with the prospect of the bill moreso then the substance, that banks were holding on to these bad mortgages rather than selling at reduced price since the government might step in any day and buy them at near full price. Would it be fair to say then that congress coming out and saying "the deal is dead and we aren't trying again" would have a similar effect to the bill actually being passed?

Horrible choice of words, there's a dozen other words that mean the same thing, but without the really negative connotation. He should've learned from Dubya's experience, you don't joke around with the word "dictator" in reference to your own actions or ambitions.
