No. Look, I hate this stupid cunt, I think it's an insulting joke she was chosen, and it pushed my respect for McCain to an all-time low.

But the Couric interviews were the worst interviews I've ever seen of a high-ranking politician. Ever. They were without equal.

She wasn't even close to that bad. She rarely got confused, her frequent dodging was much more artful, she actually had answers for some of the questions, she made the audience chuckle a few times and radiated folksy, not "i'm confused". She did much better than those interviews.

She still sucks, but don't compare the two as if they are in the same ballpark.

I suppose you're right. I was going to say that it's not 100% fair to compare this to the Couric interview and use that as the reason why she did well tonight.

But same ballpark or not it's the VP spot, she should at least be in the fucking bleachers, not waiting out in the parking lot.

I shit you not, I had to hit the fuckin mute button atleast 3 times after I realized she was going to read off the same godforsaken paragraph again containing: "the greed on wallstreet and energy and all that stuff."

Wow, she did a great job reading off memorized talking points, even if the shit had NOTHING to do with the question. She also did a great job at NOT answering questions altogether. People's expectations had to be REALLY low to sit through that debate with a straight face and not in utter disgust.

If Obama doesn't jump even higher in the polls tomorrow, I will be extremely surprised.

The CBS poll of undecideds had Biden winning the debate 46-21, with 33 percent calling it a tie. But few votes were moved as as result. Among the undecideds, 18 percent committed to Obama, and 10 percent committed to McCain, but 71 percent remained uncommitted.

Biden won the CNN and CBS focus groups. Palin won the Luntz focus group. The candidates tied in the Halperin focus group.

a conservative friend of mine actually commented to met that he didn't pick up any bias and that she did very well. I agree. when she asked critical questions, she structured them to apply to each candidate. she also seemed fair with moving the debate along; only exception is when palin was off-topic rambling and she said time was up, but idk if you can really put that on Ifill.
