Now add the fact that a Republican was in office when the shit hit the fan and it's amazing this race is even close.

This race never was close, the MM just spun it that way to boost ratings. Even after McCain got the huge bump after the RNC and picking Palin he was still behind in State by State polls.

Historically polling 30 days before election day pretty accurately determines how its going to finish, and right now Obama is looking at about a 100 point win in the EC if things keep going this way. I don't think its gonna be that big a win but I think Obama getting 300 votes is very likely to happen.

Don't know if it's true or not but I've seen her secessionist issue explained that someone in the lower 48 might think it's radical to want to leave the union, but in Alaska it's not uncommon to think they should secede.
