It looks to me like McCain patted him on the back like "we are leaving shortly" and then somebody said something to McCain...he wasn't talking to Obama when obama offered the hand, he was talking to someone in the crowd (his hand extended in gesture to the person).

You must have seen a different video. I clearly saw Obama offer his hand and then McCain gesturing to shake Cindy's hand instead while waving, then threw his left hand while making a "jeez, guess we can't shake now!" look, followed by a wave to a supporter.

I was just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since we cannot know the exact motivations of McCain or what was going on right there from one limited video. I do think it was very rude and I do think that it was an unfortunate action however McCain might not have set out to consciously be rude.

Maybe he isn't consciously being rude, but maybe he's subconsciously being rude. Not looking at Obama in the first debate, referring to him as "that one" in last night's debate, and not shaking hands might lead one to either conclusion. McCain has a history of being a mean, insufferable prick, and those actions are no exception.

Yup they went to a resort in California and spent about $500,000 after they got bailed out.

I don't really see too much of an issue with this. The people they sent out there were successful with their division and this apparently is their bonus (or a result of their hard work). If it was used to motivate and keep happy employees at AIG then whats the big deal? Taking away all incentives and perks will decrease moral and drive away the talent. Then the company goes even more into the shitter.

Yes it would have been so excruciatingly painful for McCain to shake his hand again to improve his positive image. Like it was said before bad timing and not smart when running for president.
