Last night on CNN, (liberal bias, yaddayadda) I saw them interview a couple of McCain/Palin supporters who sincerely thought Obama's in cahoots with terrorists. ._.; I know the vast majority of McCain supporters aren't this dumb, but god damn.. it's sure demoralizing knowing people like this still make a noticeable chunk of Americans.

Does anyone else think McCain needs to dismiss these supporters at his rally to have any chance at all in the election? Or is support from people with such unadulterated hatred his only chance at winning?

I'm fairly sure it says "Sarah Palin is a bitch" but there's no way of really telling, that's just what I'd assume based off of the hints they give. All fox said was that it started with "Sarah Palin is a ..." and then it goes into something derogatory.

Unfortunately the radio station that does Phillies broadcasts also broadcast Beck, Rush, Sean Hannity, and a few other local radio guys. It's upsetting that I get in the car in the morning and forget that I was on the station. I usually keep it on just to laugh at the absurdity of the shows.

Calling Palin a cunt is out of line, no doubt, but it's not comparable to the racism and religious phobia surrounding Obama.

For one, all of the mud slung at Obama about his religion or supposed ties to 'terrorism'(CONTEXT PLEASE YOU STUPID BASTARDS) or ethnicity, range from outright lies to misconceptions to irrational prejudice.

He's not a Muslim or Arab. Not all Muslims or Arabs are terrorists. Terrorists come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the terrorists are us (actually, often it's us).

The point is, calling Palin a 'cunt' is in the same tier of douchebaggery as calling someone (that you dislike) a 'cockweasal' or a 'stupid dickhole'. Perhaps, a 'goat-fucking ball-polisher'.

Seriously, it's a very shallow insult that is almost meaningless.

However, the shit that Ma and Pa Dumbfuck sling at Obama is deeply rooted in a certain ignorant ideology. It's a symptom of a much bigger problem.

Yeah its the same here in San Antonio. I also listen to laugh at the people that follow ever word Rush says like its the gospel.
