And another thing, get like a 1k on the SAT and you don't have to take a cert test is most states. 1k isn't that hard at all, though still harder than passing the cert test.

CNN is saying McCain won the first half of the debate, and I'd have to agree. Obama felt a little too lucid to me that first part. The rest of the debate though is another story.

My dad was making about 60k/year+benefits as a high school teacher when he retired, just a Bachelor's degree. Granted that was in a well-paying school district and with 30 years of experience, but they can do fine financially in some places.

You get paid what you get paid for the year. If you choose to teach summer school, you make additional money for that, but the "salary" is with the summer vacation included.

McCain didn't have shit, he just spent the first half making retarded accusations of Obama being a terrorist. American politics fucking suck. If we wanted a system that works really well, we'd have multiple parties with equal amounts of power and sway because as everyone knows, there are usually more than just two sides to any argument. McCain just repeated the same crap over and over and never really said anything but because he was pissed off, these morons on television are saying he did a better job. In my opinion, they both run misleading, socially irresponsible campaigns.

Freedom is great when the general public is intelligent enough to utilize it correctly and not abuse it. Does anyone really think those people would take that $5000 tax credit and go buy healthcare? I guarantee you that 80% of those fucking people would go buy a TV.

The older I get, the more I can understand the way our government works compared to the way that other nation's governments work and I can honestly say that socialism isn't as bad as the crazy hillbillies that taught my high school classes made it out to be.

That is exactly why he had the first half of the debate. The general public is not intelligent enough to realize what Mccain was doing. I agree completely with your post otherwise.

To which demographic are you speaking? People around my way would invest that into starting record labels and by stock in Newports and Courvoisier. I mean TVs are an option also, but Spreewells look good on a candy coated lac.

Unfortunately he's right. People would probably take that check, buy something with it, and then be happy sittin' down with their new shit while still complaining that health care reform sucks.

It's not that McCain really hammered Obama on some issues, it was that McCain was clearly trying to attack him in anyway that he could and Obama seemed more unsure of himself or of what to say than he did in the prior debates. At least that how it looked to me.

I cant speak for the board as a whole because I am rather new, but there are smart people in every demographic. They are usually overshadowed by the dumbasses though.

BTW I grew up in Port St. Lucie. Small world.

I'm amazed McCain said he'd eliminate/lower the Cane Sugar Tariff...I'm more amazed commentors didn't pick up on that(I actually support it strongly...but).

Any farmer who hears that would not vote for McCain, which I think is immensely stupid because he does not need to lose *more* ground in red states and possibly swing them blue.

The way I see it, it John McCain wants to charge me "800 dollars" (A number that John gave. Stating that healthcare is $5800 a year where he wants to give us $5000.) a year, when I currently gain $100 a month via Flex credits for healthcare.

I lose $2000 a year under his plan? No thanks.
