One of the callers on CSPAN almost made me throw up... he basically repeated everything you hear in chain emails about Obama, including but not limited to:

1) That he's a Muslim who was sworn in on the Koran in Illinois, and will insist on being sworn in on a Koran as President
2) That he doesn't believe in God (contradictory with #1)
3) That he wants "In God We Trust" removed from US currency
4) That he always refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance

It's absolutely pathetic that people believe this shit.

I'm reading a book about Warren Buffet right now. I'm only about half-way through it, but he has already become someone I respect more than 99% of public figures in my lifetime. What did the polls look like? I watched 10 minutes (covered the spending freeze and stuff...around that point) before my wife and I watched a movie. For the first time in any of the debates, I though McCain was doing much much better than Obama. The Moderator seemed much better than the past two as well. I just seen a very small sampling though, but what I did see was McCain excelling. Just curious how the rest went.

The Polls mostly had Obama leading. CBS had Obama 53% - Tie 24% - McCain 22% among undecideds, CNN had Obama 15 - McCain 10, and FOX had "Obama clearly winning by majority", but did not release their numbers.

Personally, I thought this was Obama's best debate. I felt that McCain had won the last two, or had tied in them, but this one I think objectively went to Obama, although McCain did have a good line ("I am not George Bush!!").

Yeah, that was the part I caught, so I guess I just seen McCain's best section and missed the rest. The "If you wanted to run against George Bush, you should have ran four years ago" made me laugh.

The way I saw it, McCain did extremely well in the first 30 minutes, finally articulating his policies and making a lot of good points that weren't completely riddled with fallacy. Once it got to ayers and acord, it went completely downhill for him the rest of the time. I only saw the first hour though
