Uh... other than the grenade launcher stuff it's pretty much all about the ability to shoot repeatedly, fast, held steady, without reloading, or silencers etc.

Why not? Tailor it to take the good parts and leave behind the bad. Just because a document was written 221(ish) years ago doesn't mean we can't interpret to fit our society today.

So what's the explanation for that? It can't possibly be what I'm thinking.

    Jesus fucking christ.

You clearly don't know what a "semi-automatic weapon" is. Virtually every pistol is "semi-automatic". The .22 caliber squirrel-hunting rifle I got for my 13th birthday is semi-automatic. Many completely "made-for-hunting" rifles are semi-automatic.

They aren't extreme at all. They are just guns. Semi-automatic is about the worst descriptor you can use trying to categorize which guns should be legal and which shouldn't, at least for anyone with frontal lobe capacity.

    Seriously, what the fuck.

So basically re-write the constitution? I could go along with that. I don't think there are the same caliber of leaders around now-a-days to accomplish it though.

Considering about 4 people "QFT"ed your post, I'd say that the primary reason the anti-gun crowd is so anti-gun is ignorance, as you so wonderfully displayed.

So for that, thank you. Seriously.

I agree with that to a certain extent.

Like I said, I dont need to be an expert to know how I feel about guns just like I dont need to be a drug expert to know that I don't want cocain legalized. The term automatic or semi-automatic doesn't change the fact that loose gun laws have retards and covicted felons running around with artillery.

    You're welcome.

Some parts hold up better than others, but all should be up for consideration pertaining to purpose and how better it can fit in our society.

Some of that happens naturally, of course, as modern problems have to be held to these laws and the courts have to make rulings. That's what idiots call legislating from the bench; it's an integral part of our democracy to interpret laws in different contexts and find what different meanings might be pertinent.

Heh I was laughing the other day talking to my dad about how there's all these people arguing how we need to stay closer to the constitution and away from the modern elitist standards... back to what was written by... the richest, most well educated, "elite-est" group of people in the country...

You need a background check and three forms of identification to purchase that caliber of leader these days.

An admission of ignorance + 'but that's just the way I want it gard-durnit' should never shape or direct public policy.

    That's the point.

I have no idea what the explanation for misspelling the freaking subject's name in an editorial where people try to act like their thinking is.

Nor do I have an explanation as to why there is irrelevant grumbling about the New York Times.

As to the actual content and not just the retarded whining, that is an issue, yes. It should most definitely be investigated. I mean blatantly Obama hating people donating to the Obama campaign is more than a little suspicious.

Oh and the potential fraud should be checked out, too. I don't have money to try this myself, but its worth checking the veracity of such a thing that can easily be checked by someone you trust.

People like Jefferson are more like today's Ayers type people than today's politicians, tbh.

Didn't know I was running for office. It's called an OPINION and I'm allowed to have it whether you like it or not.
