Why are they still insisting on being this vicious? They're actually making American politics worse, if that's even possible.

It's sad that the republicans campaign strategy at all levels right now just seems to be playing up the culture wars, I'm hoping one day it will backfire and they'll be forced to do campaign on something constructive.
I was a registered republican until 06' and McCain's pandering to the religious right and Palin's culture war rhetoric are disgusting and only making me regret not switching earlier. What happened to the moderates of this party? Do they have a voice anymore?
See: Christopher Buckley
exactly, boy did he get ripped apart by the neocons.
Amazing thing is, even his father softened up a bit in his late years and was critical about certain aspects of conservatism in the bush administration, so his son being reasonable in the condemnation of the latest incarnation of conservatism shouldn't be really surprising.
Jesus Christ. I keep fivethirtyeight.com open in a tab often, and I just refreshed it. Obama's EV median jumped 10 points, up to 354!
Crazy. They have him winning everything. Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, even North Carolina. The only close state that McCain is still winning is North Dakota, and the fact that it's even in play is absurd.
Mixed-race, half-caucasian, Jim Crow, one-drop rule, etc. etc.
I'm sure McCain still has a Limit Break up his sleeve.
There's an ad running in michigan right now that goes as following:
"Barack Obama sat and listened to this preacher for two years"
*plays clip*
"Obama is the most liberal senator ever with the third most liberal running mate, do you want this man as president? Vote for McCain"
Yep. McCain's definitely trying to use a Limit Break.
So I have a friend who's voting for the McCain ticket BECAUSE of Palin, lol
Tell him bros before hoes.
About the resurfacing of the Wright issue... I dug up this article I remember reading earlier this week:
