Tonight's daily show.
bwahaha. Glenn Beck is the biggest douche in the MSM.
http://mediamatters.org/items/200611180006
"Finally, a guy who says what people who aren't thinking are thinking."
If Beck is a douche then please describe to me what Olbermann is.
Oh I forgot, no one on this board is allowed to be a conservative and have differing viewpoints of MSNBC or Olbermann or Obama. Sorry, not all of us want socialized health care, blanket amnesty, more money going to programs like welfare and more free handouts to people who don't seem to want to work for themselves. I like my guns and don't want someone in Washington telling me I'm not allowed to them. I worked two jobs while going through school to get to where I'm at today, why the fuck is that so hard for everyone else. Why the hell should I support bigger government and more of my money going to people who can't seem do anything for themselves. Why should I want nothing to be done to lower my energy bills at my house for the gas I use to heat the water I cook with?
Higher energy cost's = less people using it = less strain on the environment is all that the democrats seem to care about.
How is he helping "Change" anything when during his time in congress he's missed or not voted 45% of the time there.
http://projects.washingtonpost.com/c...mbers/o000167/ and for that matter tell me what he's actually done to do change in Illinois or in America in general with his voting record or legislation creation. You attack Palin's record, but hell at least she has one to speak about.
Would my comment have made more sense if I added to the end of that to me?
We should vote for Palin because she says God will help us with the energy crisis if we vote for her amirite? Global warming is just a fanatical myth...
When it comes to solving the energy crisis the right-wing conservatives only see drill, drill, drill. What happens when there's nothing left to drill? It's extremely short-sighted to think more oil is always going to solve our energy problems. The further we depend on it the less we'll feel inclined to invest in other alternative renewable energies, this is human nature.
America doesn't need to end its foreign independence on oil, it needs to end its addiction to oil. Funny how a bunch of bible-hugging conservatives don't really give a shit about their lord's creations. I'll do you religious people a favor, if John McCain wins this election I'll pray everyday that his health holds up so Sarah Palin never sees the fucking day.
EDIT: Both Glenn and Olbermann are douches, at least Beck is funny though.
Saphirea, you have no idea what Obama supports. Seriously. Let's do a point by point!
That's not what Obama supports, his plan includes implementing guaranteed eligibility for affordable health care for all Americans, paid for by insurance reform, reducing costs, removing patent protection for pharmaceuticals, and required employer contributions. Children would however get mandatory health care.
Has supported stronger paths to citizenship, but not blanket amnesty. Wants tons of reform of the system.blanket amnesty
Welfare hasn't been an issue this election, but my guess is he would want reform to make it more effective and efficient. That's what he wants from most things.more money going to programs like welfare and more free handouts to people who don't seem to want to work for themselves
That would be an impossibility for any president to do. He is opposed to people having semi-automatics and purchasing more than 1 handgun a month. He originally supported a handgun ban but later changed his view.I like my guns and don't want someone in Washington telling me I'm not allowed to them.
There aren't 2 jobs for every person and I don't think people should have to work that huge amount. Obama probably doesn't support making everybody have to work 2 fucking jobs. If you do, good job, but why should that be a necessity?I worked two jobs while going through school to get to where I'm at today, why the fuck is that so hard for everyone else.
They aren't the ones largely sucking up your money. Welfare programs are a relatively low cost compared to other things. I don't know his positions on welfare and what he wants to change about it.Why the hell should I support bigger government and more of my money going to people who can't seem do anything for themselves.
He IS working to do that. He's also working to lower health care costs, cut YOUR taxes, and other things to help YOU.Why should I want nothing to be done to lower my energy bills at my house for the gas I use to heat the water I cook with?
NoHigher energy cost's = less people using it = less strain on the environment is all that the democrats seem to care about.

From wiki ofcObama sponsored with Kit Bond (R-MO) an amendment to the 2008 Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for a review by the Government Accountability Office following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs.[42] He sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act" supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran's oil and gas industry,[43] and joined Chuck Hagel (R-NE) in introducing legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.[44] A provision from the Obama-Hagel bill was passed by Congress in December 2007 as an amendment to the State-Foreign Operations appropriations bill.[44] Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.[45] After passing both houses of Congress with bipartisan majorities, SCHIP was vetoed by President Bush in early October 2007, a move Obama said "shows a callousness of priorities that is offensive to the ideals we hold as Americans."[46]
Don't talk about shit when all you know is what the enemies of the guy have told you.
I'm sorry, it's just extremely hypocritical that you say Olbermann makes you want to hurt small animals and yet you say your favorite person in the media is essentially the conservative version of him, running the conservative version of his show. Beck is every bit as partisan as Olbermann, so don't act like you're the one championing fairness here.Oh I forgot, no one on this board is allowed to be a conservative and have differing viewpoints of MSNBC or Olbermann or Obama. blah blah blah LIBERALS blah blah
Sarah Palin on Barack Obama defeating Hillary Clinton in the Dem Primaries: "So Sambo beat the bitch!"
@Saphirea
You're slightly ignorant to how the job market is right now. Ok so you worked two jobs in college. Where I live, restaurants, car lots, and many other businesses are closing every week (It's all over the news here), and so many people are losing their jobs. It's difficult to even find a part time job right now. Some people have families to take care of, and when their restaurant closes, what are they supposed to do? You're saying their kids don't deserve health care b/c daddy lost his business?
Health care is so important for everyone to have access to, whether they are a lazy piece of shit, college kid who can't afford insurance with all the other bills, or a middle-aged man/woman having a rough time with the job market.
p.s. i still think ur weird maxx but good post there, sir.
The United States is the only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not provide universal health care. Current estimates put U.S. health care spending at approximately 15% of GDP, the highest in the world yet we have millions going without it. Do conservatives not find anything wrong with this?. It so ass-backwards its ridiculous, our current system simply doesn't work.
Ya know, I can only feel pity for one issue voters such as Saphirea. They're so wound up on a single issue (i.e. that Obama, although he is personally pro-life, doesn't believe government has a place interfering in a citizen's private decisions on abortion) that she automatically will ignore fact on anything else in order to justify their vote.
And then, to complicate the matter, they vote for a person who would ignore the medical and economic needs of a impoverished mother and their newborn child, leaving them to either starve to death or die from a common childhood disease like say.. Sepsis because the mother had to make a decision between paying rent or getting medicine.
Can someone please explain to me how the fuck this position is pro-life.
Also, on another note, I suppose now that this thread has gone well beyond its original topic (and we're over 50 pages now) we should probably make a new general thread for discussion on the election.
Saphirea clearly listed multiple issues. All of which I agree with. All of which Maxx missed the point on or did a poor job "dispelling".
@Saphirea: I commend your effort, but debating here just seems to be pointless.
This is the smartest statement in this thread. Now most of you have to realize it works both ways.Don't talk about shit when all you know is what the enemies of the guy have told you.
No, Saphirea has expressed several times in this thread the abortion thing, and then listed multiple non-factual talking points, which Maxx pointed out for what they are - false statements about Obama's positions.
If you have proof to back up those garbage talking points, provide it. Otherwise stick to facts. I also find it ironic that you'd quote the line about only knowing what the enemies of the guy are saying, when that's exactly what Saph was doing.
Actually the 50+ page thing was an afterthought - my point was actually that the discussion here has gone well beyond McCain's pick for VP.
I know exactly what they were.
-I don't want his healthcare plan. No matter how much you make it smell like roses.
-You agree he wants to reform welfare, I don;t think he wants to in a positive way.
-I got no problem with the 1 handgun per month rule. The semi automatic and other bullshit bans i think are unnecessary.
-Working 2 jobs was her choice, because she took responsibility for her life. She didn't wait for a handout, she want out a took it. That takes character, that's a good thing.
-Your tax outlook is wrong too. Obama does want to increase some taxes. Stop omitting that fact.
I never said you weren't vaild. I said you missed the point. Just different outlooks on the responsibilities of the gov't.
Maxx, this is possibly the toughest hurdle to get over, but let's put it this way. I don't try to force anyone anymore. If they want to know the facts, they will look it up for themselves at objective sources instead of getting it from a talking head on the fucking television or radio. And yes that includes Olbermann.
You know, considering those two countries are overall healthier, have better life expectancies, and spend less on it... maybe the perceived longer lines are a pretty worthwhile trade off.
