I never understood anti health care arguments. Why not give basic health care to everyone, which covers mandatory(No bullshit, you get cancer, it's paid for, etc.) things but not things like braces for your kid. Then the people that want that extra shit can pay extra for a better plan. Why is that so hard?

also churchill, why do you think Cubans would have to get citizenship to practice medicine here? Cuban health and doctors appear to be highly rated; I'm sure they could handle the jobs of most US doctors.

why does the government have to be the answer? We can't always look to the government to run things to suddenly make things better; before we know it we are holistically dependent on the government (too dependent as it is). Government can do things to help and hopefully steer us in the right direction, but turning any control to them is not something I want to see

If your house catches on fire or if someone breaks into your home I hope to god you don't reach for a phone to call for some GOVERNMENT HELP. That might mean that you're too dependent.

There is no reason why you shouldn't be offered healthcare from your government. Its not like saying "YOU MUST USE US AND ONLY US" its saying you can use them. You seem to have an unreasonable fear of the government, but that's no reason that people should die because they can't afford the healthcare they deserve.

Because to live in this country I think you need to pledge allegiance to this country, so to speak. They'd be benefiting, we'd be benefiting them, but I don't think using the labor of other countries inside our own borders is necessarily a good idea. We already do it abroad, lol.
