uhh have you tried reading Philip K. Dick? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I'm thankful for every single movie adaptation of his books, because having seen all the movies 1st and then trying to read A Scanner Darkly for example, the movies are so ridiculously necessary; I don't know how the guy got by with more than a cult folllowing. the books are really hard to comprehend, and not necessarily as a credit to his skill or genius.

I think he had some great ideas but... I can't say I like him as a writer. Lord knows he's no James Joyce.
