Well of course I had it equipped for accuracy bonus... I was just horribly disappointed every time I actually cast it >.>

Hit nail on the head, only posted gear to enphasize on the fact that all blus should optimize their damage by having different sets and I get emo when BLUs tend not to. Or when they fucking use + MP pieces when theres a better stat in that slot (ex. electrum rings instead of str or acc rings depending on situation. Though full time str rings are understandable if one cannot afford an acc ring as well but I think venerer ring is cheap now.)
don't be afraid to sj whm and main heal if the pt asks for it.
if you wanna get to 75...
Awesome advise and ive taken a lot of it to mind while pting and such. I have 75thf so i have a lot of useable Acc/haste gear ready for my blu which is nice is saving some gil for other things such as str rings etc. So far i have been /thf in most the pt's and seem to fair very well with that. Good damage output, and the self SC + MB drainkiss helps my mp pool specialy if im missing a fresher. So make to make sure to, dont wait until i have 100+ to to ws ca spells? Unless of course the timers match up. instead just use CASA spells whenever i can huh? Well that helps a bit, one step closer to being that much better a blu :D
I'm guessing this was the immunities Zone in Apollyon? Maybe he was asked to come BLU after repeatedly stating to his LS that he didn't have his BLU gear anymore, and so he used whatever he had left over from his RDM because he was broke and it was better than nothing? In that situation, I could see how it might be ok. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
In the case that you're not talking about that shameful moment that I was forced to reveal my nearly naked BLU, then I agree, that guy needs his shit straightened.
I'll reiterate those that have mentioned subbing thf, I subbed thf all the way till 70 at which point it became clear that /nin was finally going to surpass what i could do as /thf.
somewhere around lvl 40 I got into a static though so i'm a bit biased, we had two nins in our static, so i'm also spoiled. However, I did try /nin a couple times with them and I absolutely hated it. One of our members parsed our sessions and my total damage literally fell about 7% ( one time i tried in the 50's, the other time i tried in the 60's).
SATA death scissors is absolutely worth it.
Blu should never melee in AF body. SH is probably your best piece till assault jerkin (play it by ear after that with your acc in each piece).
I echo what the others said about pacing yourself, just find a groove that works with your party, and even without a rdm (we only had a brd in our satatic) you can still find that groove, though it might take getting yourself a vermy (ugh i hated meleeing in vermy)
