So early Friday I got home from school and my connection was acting up, usually when that sort of thing happens I just reset my router and everything is peachy, but this time when I reset it, it never came back.

Called my ISP, they said that they saw something weird on my network and decided to temporarily suspended my internet until I ran a full virus scan. I did so(found nothing) called back and they re-activated my net.

Everything seemed normal, logged into XI just fine, but when I tried to zone I got stuck in the "downloading data" screen and after a bit of that I got a POL-3001 error. I did some searching on it and found a few people have had the same problem, tried all the recommended solutions(resting my router, forwarding FFXI ports) but I've yet to fix the problem.

I'm thinking that it could be my ISP firewall, I actually use a WISP which I think could be the reason for my problem. Perhaps when I first called about them about having Internet problems they ended up blocking XI's ports? Though at this point I'm unsure.

I'm positive this isn't a problem with FFXI because I'm having similar problems finding servers for Team Fortress 2.

****Edit**** Fixed the problem, ended up being a problem with my ISP just as I thought.
