I play at Tourneys with my iPod blaring, I can't stand people who call out their moves while they use it. There's two types of smack talk: 1) The funny kind*, and 2) The jackass kind.

*The funny kind reminds me of this guy who is a really good C. Falcon in Chicago. He'll just start using the b-stick only, and ALWAYS seems to connect hits. He'll start yelling shit like "IT'S A B GAME" and "FALCON CUNT MOTHERFUCKERS" lol

Nah, he's really funny when he does it. He's not being rude to the guy, in fact most people laugh when he does. He's just REALLY good as C. Falcon, and he can still do amazingly well with just Raptor Boost/Falcon Kick. He's also amazing at mind-games, and his finishers are usually really retarded shit (instead of doing things like dtilt->fsmash while recovering, he'll consistently UB you away until you can't recover anymore). He also has some of the best johns in history.

What I dont like isnt even the smack talk (I love to talk shit and bring all kinds of faggotry to to table , but with people I dont know, I just say "Are you xxxsmashboardsname? We have a match together."

I dont like it when people coach their crew members (not like, "FUCK THAT PEACH, SHE'S A BITCH, CUT THAT BITCH MAN") but like, "OK OK, DTHROW TO NAIR THEN UAIR". If they dont know the matchup, dont baby them through a match. Its not just the helping, but its stuff thats hard to ignore when its coming from right behind you.

LOL Niro, I did this to my best friend, but I kept giving him the worst advice. He was fighting a Snake as Lucario, and I was telling him "CLING TO THE WALL, SPAM AURA SPHERE, JUST USE COUNTER" and he was because he didn't know how to play the game (this was at a tourney, btw. My friend is absolutely fearless lol). The Snake was LOLing so hard, and my friend lost horribly. xD

Most definitely, but that doesn't change the fact that most of the Smashers there thought he was pretty awesome (although he does suck). He's getting better now, and he's going to buy a wii soon I think

I used to hang out with the DA guys back when Melee was out. They just smack talked to smack talk but if you ever went to just play them casually, they were some of the coolest guys I knew. I never did that well at tournies because I'd get so nervous that I'd make bad decisions but they'd always cheer me on regardless.

Some guys can be assholes sure but I've smack talked with a lot of strangers in tournaments and was still able to laugh with them even after the match was over. Really depends on the individual.
