I think the KotoR 2 story would have been as epic as the first if they were allowed to finish it the way the developers originally wanted it to be finished. Instead, due to deadlines they had to cut out over half the ending or something.

AFAIK it was more like they had another planet to go to that was cut out entirely.

Yeah, when I read up on it what seemed to be the case was that your game would get corrupted at some point or another and eventually it could manifest itself as a major problem. In which case you load an earlier game and hope it was prior to the corruption, etc... I just said screw it and stopped playing the game. I'll retry it again someday.

All I remember, is reading about people data-mining the game CD and finding loads of conversational text, choices+results of choice and fully scripted screenplay. It seemed mostly centered on the last planet you go to with a much better ending than the one we were presented.

FYI, KOTOR 2 was made by Obsidion, not Bioware. The license was given away when Bioware started working on Jade Empire.

Just because EA owns Bioware doesn't mean they're going to fuck this game up, they aren't complete and total idiots. Look at how awesome Rock Band is; they didn't interfere with Harmonix.

Yeah that goes along with what I posted abou merc's 2, Ive read and listened to quite a few interviews and basicaly EA offers the partner's whatever services they choose that a publisher would supply. EPIC AND ID are developing their own respective titles and EA is just marketing which is what I hope bioware does, since bioware does so much quality RPG's.

The infinite xp glitch I've never seen corrupt any character data. It will crash the game if you get too many enemies on screen at one time. But that's really the only thing I've seen in it. And I've played through it multiple times.

Never played KOTOR but it's interesting how much praise it's getting, hard to believe it was really that good. I'd give a star wars MMO a chance, it'd be extremely fun if it was like EVE( ships flying around everywhere) but still had on planet action too.

play the first one, its a very fun game. And if your looking for a new EVE type game, I hear the Star Trek MMO is going in that direction

Galaxies wasn't a failure, it's people fucking with a formula that worked trying to make things "better" that ruined that game, that and the hologrind.

For people that enjoyed KotOR, I also recommend trying Mass Effect. It's made by BioWare as well... It's essentially what KotOR 2 should have been.

Oh shit this is awesome. KotOR is still my most favourite RPG ever. Played it like 3 times through... and I can count the games I've "finished" on one hand, lol. Awesome storyline!

I played Kotor 1 up until Dantooine, which im sure you all know isn't too far. i did enjoy it. just lost its appeal. i do plan on finishing it one day
