If only America could get that fired up about the real issues.
Do any of them understand the solution or are they raging against the machine?
RATM is awesome and all but only in the sense they motivate people, there's no John Adams putting clear and objective thoughts behind any of it.
guys... really... when you get tens of thousands of protesters, you expect them all to be articulate and expansively knowledgeable about the issues? really?
and if we wanna talk about fashion statements, how about Libertarianism for white college age males?
and yeah RATM isn't "for" either party but the bottom line is they didn't play the DNC and they are generally leftists.

Something like 300 people were arrested. Like, seriously?
What's missing is McCain standing on one of the protesters, with thumbs up.
They played during the DNC four years ago, but yeah they're pretty red.
I knew of very few Libertarians when I was in college (all 6 years; I'm a slacker), so I really don't know what you're talking about. If you're talking about the supporters of Ron Paul, then I completely agree with you. Most of them that I've talked to were either swept up by the popularity or were off-the-wall crazy 911 "truthers".
yeah i saw that earlier
im at school now and dont get DN atm ><
i bet its quite a show when shes back on
yes, I'm generally associating fad-Libertarians with Ron Paul.
Not all protesters possess an in-depth knowledge of American history and political science as well as the current politics of the world.
Some people have just enough exposure to these issues and then the rest is guided by an intuitive sense of right/wrong and justice/etc. This isn't unique to just anti-war people. I'm sure protesters of everything from clubbing baby seals to pineapple on pizza have "their" reasons. Often they might not hold up in a serious debate either. Sometimes people like this are just grandstanding but in other cases they are just but simply don't possess an empirical knowledge of the events/issues.
In any case, lots of people are like that. They just may not choose to protest.
I don't think we should expect people to be William Buckley or Noam Chomskey or anything in between (although Buckley is soft in comparison to neocons today).
Hopefully the cunts from Code Pink will get arrested. Seeing that would make my week.
