LOL no kidding- consider the top 3 AFC teams:

Pats- may have just lost brady, barely beat chiefs.
    Chargers- lost to carolina
    Indy- losing (badly) to Bears

    yeesh

And yea like- I'm not saying the Bears D sucks <_< I'm just saying that the colts look bad. Some of it is the bears making them look bad but as you guys said this is the same bears D that went to the superbowl and lost...to these colts. Colts look really flat. REALLY flat. The bears are doing great in terms of jumping on their mistakes.

I knew you guys would come around. Orton baby! Gain of 26 on 3rd and 1.

That's what he can do, he wont do anything stupid to lose you the game.

Bad teams can always look good the first few weeks. Teams get this false sense of accomplishment. The Lions got this early "we're really good" fever, then by about week 6 they go to where they are supposed to be. It's the first week, the good teams will be good, the bad teams will be bad. I'm not going to hate on the colts yet, the Chicago defense is healthy as opposed to last year, and Manning is playing the first time at game speed after very very little practice with a new center he's never played with. Harrison is looking good, I take more out of that than I do manning looking pedestrian. We know he's better than that, give him a week or two to settle in.

The Chargers loss, I really don't know what happened or how to justify it. This is what I'm taking out of week 1 thus far.

    -The Patriots are done.

    -The Dallas Cowboys look amazing

    -The Browns will underachieve

-The Chicago Defense is back and healthy

    -Marvin Harrison will be fine

-Brees will have another consistently amazing year

-Philli will be a force if they stay healthy

I'm going to hold off jumping onto the Falcons/Panthers bandwagon for a few weeks. I doubt they'll hang onto lightning in a bottle.

Edit: I'm not going to pass judgement on the Jets or Dolphins. They are both completely different teams from last season, and since they played each other, I don't know what to make of either of them...

It's funny because you sound really sarcastic but I'm not sure if you're trying to.

I don't want to jump on to the Indy hatewagon too soon, but seriously.... when was the last time they even lost an opening day game?

I'm so used to seeing them go 10-0 before they even think about losing a game.

Wide open and Manning throws it at his feet, not very Peyton like!

Yeah, Manning is playing like shit and Chicago is playing very very well. Manning seems to have at least a couple of really shitty games a season, more of an exception to prove the rule. I don't see this as a trend until he's throwing 2 picks and missing WRs through week 3.

I think that was when they had to play the Patriots in New England in the first game of the season...

Shouldn't be that hard, just run a couple of Hail Mary's to Moss, like in last year's Miami Game, or throw some checkdowns to Welker.

he should be fine, even though he runs so physical he doesnt actually take a lot of contact to the body, usually his shoulders and legs. he also doesnt play till monday so he has an extra day to recover. all the news out of dallas indicates it isnt too bad.
