inc Westbrook out for season.
I'm slowly inching my way towards the top. (I'm Evil Genius)
I just had the most awesome week ever.
Not only did benching White prevent me from being #1 in points for the week, but check out some of my defensive players:
Mike Adams
Calvin Pace
Rodney Harrison
Keith Rivers
SAWEEEEEET
edit: dropping carson palmer to put a waiver claim on J.T. O'Sullivan since Cutler has a bye next week and Flacco is the next best option is super awesome too
Ouch.
In the IDP league, my defense is near unstoppable...but my offense...goddamn Favre and Tomlinson not showing...
Terrell Suggs and Nick Collins show up big, and I get huge performances weekly from defense...but GODDAMNIT FAVRE/TOMLINSON
sounds a whole lot like my team: Willis(now Cooper)/Weddle(ty)/Morrison are real consistent, but it seems like I've gotta pray for a TD from one of my WRs to keep them even relevant. That's even without mentioning the whole Bush injury that's gonna cost me the next 3-4 weeks![]()
Well now with Willis (ty), Tillman (before he was hurt), Fletcher for the most part, and such.. my defense is fairly reliable. The only unreliable guy really is my Defensive Lineman (who is Kiwanuka or Trent Cole), and my backup corner now for Tillman. D: My WRs aren't stellar.
Brett Favre or David Garrard?
Favre against KC or Garrard against..who? I dunno. I might go Favre. Depends on who Garrard plays, with how much they try to run the ball.
Cleveland. Both weak ass defenses.
Yes, but Cleveland is weaker on the ground. I'd go Favre against KC I think. Hell, both teams are extremely squishy on the ground. Favre has burnt a ton of people this year. We bench him (Most of us did) and he tosses 6TDs. We start him against Oakland, and he fucking sucks. I dunno man. Flip a coin? lol
Thinking of dropping LeRon McClain for Cedric Benson... never thought i'd even type that
Adrian Peterson on a bye; pick one of Darren McFadden @ Baltimore, Le'Ron McClain vs. Oakland, or Dominic Rhodes @ Tennessee...
PICK 5 - need 2 from each position w/ 1 flex
westbrook vs ATL
chris johnson vs INDY
ronnie brown vs BUF
Randy Moss vs STL
Ocho Cinco vs H-town
Anquan vs Carolina
thank god reggie bush is hurt or this decision making process would be far more brutal. ocho cinco has been steadily improving and i gotta think he will perform against the terrible texans, even with fitzpatrick throwing the rock. plz hlap
Eesh.
McFadden vs Baltimore's Defense is a no go as well as Rhodes @ Tennessee.... cuz it's tennessee and their D is a beast. McClain has the best potential with goal line carries mostly going to him against a more than sub par Oakland Defense, but his performance other than that will be hurting due to him splitting carries with McGahee who seems to finally be breaking out of his slump due to injuries and whatnot.
A real tossup for sure, but I'd lean towards McClain.
Westbrook/Johnson. Moss/Boldin if he plays. Warner has been too on his game to not hit boldin if he's back on the field with Carolina's soso corners adding to the potential. Flex would obviously be ocho stinko in case boldin gets a no-go from his doctors/coaching staff before game day.
Moore isn't starting the rest of the season though, and I'm thinking Moore is gone to all the Parker owners already. I'd say pick up Benson because McGahee seems to be getting more and more attention on offense as the season has progressed. I think the same is gonna end up happening with Benson.
And tyven, I really don't know about Chad Johnson this week. Dunta Robinson is supposedly coming back this week, and how well he performs is gonna end up deciding how well Ocho Cinco performs. I'd be worried Fitzpatrick hasn't seen much tape on him to know how he defends, maybe like Frerotte vs. the rookie Bears CBs last week. I'd say both Brown and Ocho Cinco are gambles, but Brown may be able to put up better low numbers than the other.
oh, and a defensive sit or start question that might not be very relevant:
Quentin Jammer vs. New Orleans
or
Nick Harper vs. Indianapolis
Both are playing against really good quarterbacks. I know there isn't much likelihood for Jammer to get a pick. He hardly has any in his career. But he's damn good at pass deflections and tackling. Peyton Manning has been throwing more picks than usual this year, and Harper seems more of an INT sort of guy. I just don't know which is more likely to do better at their game this week
Also, one more question: need 2 from this set (not great pickings for the week)
Earnest Graham vs. Dallas
Cedric Benson vs. Houston
LenDale White vs. Indianapolis
None of the three seem to be a lock really
