Although I'm not going to be as favorable to the Dallas Secondary, yeah they shut down the Cleveland passing attack but shutting down Braylon was as much his own doing as the defense. Anderson laid some nice passes in there for him and he flat out didn't come down with them. Still I would go with Favre, I don't think NE's secondary is that spectacular and I think the Jets are going to start this game smelling blood and wanting to show the world that the Pats are not still invincible. I doubt they will come out with a conservative play call, so even if they don't win I think Favre will throw for some decent yards.

Either way though, neither choice can really go too wrong I don't think, both are good QB who should have good games I think.
That's the problem, people assume that my reasoning is based on one game, rather than watching the team develop its WR with the confidence to not fuck around with picking up some big name after the TO debacle. The fact of the matter is the players have stepped up, and as a whole they are dramatically better than they were when TO was there and the rest were playing like shit.

Again, as an Eagles fan, I wish I could completely agree. I know McNabb makes his receivers more than they make him (see the Eagles NFC championship days with Trash and Stinkston). However I still don't know for sure about our copse this year. It's waaaaay too early to tell about DeShawn, even though he has been training with Jerry Rice. I like Avant, Brown, and Baskett, but even after watching them for years I still can't say for certain they're the best. You can't argue with numbers and McNabb put up the best with TO on the team.

I don't think anyone is really hating on them as much as saying they aren't the best the Eagles have seen in years as some people are saying. Actually I REALLY hope it's McNabb time when the starters come back (hell I have Brown and Curtis on my fantasy team as very late pickups).

Can't wait for Packers vs. Eagles in the nfc championship game for a chance to play the winner of tennesse and san diego in the super bowl to laugh at you guys!

Nah, not really, well ok the NFC one will happen, but AFC is going to be something involving the colts and either san diego or denver. Then again, I won't count out the Titans until they're out of the playoffs, really.

keep felix and look to try and package your denver running backs for one starting RB or try to deal cassel, i personally dont have a lot of faith in him but im sure there are some people that think he will be the second coming of brady.

edit: there are still people out there that think Denver's running system is the greatest thing since sliced bread, packaging both those backs with cassel can probably get you something decent. at least better depth and a probable starter. then just pick up some scrub qb for romo's bye week 10.

I made a few trades and picked up a few people in waivers. I had Jay Cutler on my bench (Peyton Manning is my starter) so I picked up Matt Ryan and traded Cutler for Julius Jones and Greg Jennings. As it is now...

    QB - P. Manning
    RB - Lynch
    RB - Bush
    RB/WR - Julius Jones
    WR -Greg Jennings
    WR - DeSean Jackson
    TE - Dallas Clark
    D/ST - Jags
    K - Phil Dawson

    Bench:
    Wes Welker
    Laveranues Coles
    Reggie Brown
    Alge Crumpler
    Kenny Watson
    Muhsin Muhammad
    Matt Ryan

I'm hesitant to put in Wes Welker because I doubt he'll put up the numbers he would with Brady. Moss can make anyone look like a super bowl QB so he's still going to get great numbers, but I dunno if Welker will. I think Julius Jones is going to see a lot of playing time since the rest of Seattle is falling apart. Brown and Curtis are still out so I think Jackson will end up being McNabbs main target...but he's going up against a tough Dallas team.

Argh, all mediocre receivers and I don't know what to do.

I was really counting on picking up Forte cause I was #2 in waivers and the #1 guy didn't need any RBs and had Brady as his QB so I was counting on him picking up some QB that slipped through the cracks. That didn't work out for me though.

    @ gregorio

blehhhhhhh you should have kept cutler and dealt manning for even more, i really dont think hes going to be that dominant of a fantasy qb this year, however i also never put much faith into the qb position in fantasy. welker and jennings will be a solid combo all year, you wont be able to land a stud anywhere but see if you can try and get ahold of chris chambers or anquan boldin, these two guys are often under valued and can be gotten for much less than they are worth, especially if a team is suffering from injuries. laveraneus is a very serviceable flex player and once hes back to 100% you will be stylin. really you should only be worried about your RB depth. chances are if you are playing in a league where matt forte wasnt drafted then there are people you can easily hustle through trades.

I'm workin on a trade with the guy who has Forte, but I'm not sure if he's going to take it. Meanwhile I just dropped Muhsin Muhammad and picked up Andre Hall to add a little depth at RB. I know he's not their #1 guy but Shanahan usually mixes up his RBs so he'll see some touches.

I actually tried to get Boldin earlier, but the guy who has him isn't quite willing to part with him yet.

Matt Forte (v.Carolina) or Felix Jones (v.Philly) or Steven Jackson (v. NYG)

I know I'm collapsing on Jackson too quick. But I just don't see the Rams running much if their defense can't stop the opposing team from scoring.

I'm leaning towards keeping Jackson in but man I'm wracking my brain on this one.

    Second:

    T.J. Whosyourmamma(v.Tenn) or Santana Moss (v.NO)

I'm leaning towards T.J. but I'm a bit on the fence on this one as well.

you PPR? if so i would go with steven jackson, he catches a lot of balls for an RB and the rams will probably look to setting up screens as a way to neutralize the NYG pass rush. although they didnt do it last week against the philly pass rush so who knows. if not PPR i would prob go with forte, the panthers bears game is going to be brutal and i think both teams will just pound the rock over and over and over again.

as for question two, TJ is definitely the more reliable receiver. also according to some bullshit i read this morning carson has a history of putting up good numbers against the titans, and hes probably due for a rebound from last week, however i would still be cautious that whole offense looked like someone put pads and a helmet on the short bus kids and let them onto a football field.

Forte vs Panthers or Chris Johnson vs Bengals? Leaning towards Chris Johnson just because the Bengals defense sucks ass.

its hard to justify a part time back over a full time back but the bengals D is just so lol that i would have to go with chris johnson, who is your other RB or flex?

Hrm. Do I start Devery Henderson at RB/WR or Laurence Maroney? I just don't trust Maroney, and I like Sammy Morris more honestly.

Have Rodgers, Portis, Lynch, Driver, DeSean Jackson, Henderson, Witten, Packers D, and Shayne Graham starting this week.

saints boggle my mind. idk who the F they are going to throw the ball to this weekend. henderson caught like nothing as a #2 receiver last year and he & patten only caught one ball each last week, plus now they are activating meachem. im not gonna be surprised if every pass brees throws goes to shockey or bush. as for maroney, im pretty high on him i think he and morris will see a lot of carries as the pats will have to try and control the clock more than usual, i also have zippy faith in matt cassel.

I finally got a decent trade offer in my BG league and I've hit a snag on whether to take it or not. Here is my team:

    Kurt Warner
    Hines Ward
    David Patten
    Brian Westbrook
    Brandon Jacobs
    Heath Miller
    Patrick Crayton

    BENCH:
    Justin Gage
    Carson Palmer
    Matt Schaub
    Dante Rosario
    Sammy Morris
    Devery Henderson

As you can see my RB depth is good. I think Sammy Morris will have a break out year and be a god damned stud. He already had more carries than Maroney last week. As you can also see, I have as terrible a WR combo as you can imagine. The trade is for the following...

    Brandon Jacobs + Devery Henderson

    ANd in return I get

    Marvin Harrison + Joey Galloway

The only downside I see is not having a backup RB. I'll need to pick another up via a trade or something. Maybe trade off palmer or schaub.
