I'm wondering if I want to jump on the Sammy Morris wagon right now. I've been considering getting rid of Kenny Watson even though Perry isn't very durable and sucked it up his first game.
Looking on ESPN 68% of people own Watson this week as compared to 93% last week. People are dropping him like crazy. The people who own Morris doubled too...up to 61% from around 30%.
OK it's getting closer to game days, and I've got a defensive sit or start question. I've got both Patrick Kerney and Aaron Schobel on my IDP team. On one hand, Schobel is playing against a Jaguars team where half the line is going to be out. On the other hand, Kerney is playing SF, who gave up 4 sacks and fumbled the ball 3 times in week 1. Which would be a more favorable match-up for the linemen? I've been leaning toward Schobel but the Seattle-SF game looks like it's made for defensive points![]()
I'm leaning towards Kerney honestly. Seattle plays a shit ton better at home than on the road, and I don't think the 49ers at all. Even with a depleted WR core, I'm picking the Seahawks to win. I'd start Kerney.
Speaking of Seattle...
Aaron Rodgers vs. Detroit or Matt Hasslebeck vs. San Fran? (I already know what I'm doing, but curious on people's perspectives)
Sadly, I'd go rodgers hands down.
rodgers fo sho, how is that even a question you silly goose.
I jumped. Actually dropped Perry for him. Leaves me with AP, Jacobs, Morris, Chester Taylor and DeAngelo Williams at RB in that league.
Do I start Brett Favre or Carson Palmer?
Out of Harrison, Evans, and Ocho Cinco, which 2 should I start? Thinking of going Harrison and Evans right now.
Different leagues. Sorry.
Farve. Harrison and Evans.
Agreed with the above poster. Palmer COULD come out and blow up, but if you want to be safe, start Favre against a weaker NE Secondary. Palmer has no protection at all, and Ocho Cinco isn't healthy.
Now watch Palmer and Ocho Cinco blow up and get like.. 400 yards passing/200 yards receiving.
If the O-Line steps it up, Palmer could have a big game. I'm surprised to say but the Bengals D did keep them in the game on Sunday.
It gave up around 200 yards rushing or so if I remember correctly to a poor rushing game of the Ravens, and gave up a good bit of yardage to Joe Flacco... a rookie. Their defense kept them in it because the Ravens offense is so underwhelming. D: Their defense is bad. Tennessee's defense will have to keep them in the game as well, and with Collins out there, the Titans running game could have a huge day. I guess that'd mean that Carson Palmer and the passing game would have to pass the rest of the game, lol
The Bengals made Joe Flacco look like McNabb.
I hopped on the Morris wagon. I dumped Watson because the more I think of it, the more I realize the Bengals are going to suck insane amounts of cack in spite of having some of the most talented offensive weapons on their team. I'm going to avoid Bengals players like the plague...they're just too unreliable.
I've already decided on the following:
P.Manning v. Minnesota OVER B.Favre v. Pats
Morris v. Jets OVER J.Lewis v. Pitts
I have C.Johnson as a lock for WR, but I have M.Harrison v. Minnesota (my tentative choice) OR Mason against Houston. I'm hesitant to start Harrison, when I expect Wayne to get all the points, and who else is there in Bal to catch all of the balls? Mason should have a HUGE day, but Harrison could fare well against the Vikings, especially if AP keeps the Vikes in the game...
I'd start Harrison over Mason. The Vikings secondary is mushy, really, and Manning should have a great rebound game. I see Harrison getting a TD as well. Also, Houston's bigtime weakness is their rush defense. Then again, Big Ben went what.. 13-14 for 137 yards or so? Lol, meh. I'd start Harrison.
For once, I agree. Also, how can you not start Rodgers against the LolLions?
Aki already advised me (ty) in another thread, but just looking for a couple more opinions regarding a decision that will most likely make/break me this week
I can start 2:
Peyton vs. the Vikings.
Rodgers vs. the Lions.
Big Ben vs. the Browns.
