And I'm not talking about what we're most likely to do, as that would be bland, boring, and noone could really debate. What is (well, isn't in my opinion) is how and why the U.N. are fucking it up.

Regardless talk of moral obligation to do things seems very anti-American.
So, our options as I see them is to either let hundreds of thousands of people die, knowing we can stop them and knowing that we've promised to never let this happen again. Or we could continue our failed policy of imperialism and nation building to stop the horror. Constitutionally, the choice is clear; morally, it seems like a lose-lose.
I think Constitutionally, the choice is clear because they foresaw situations like this, and knew of the danger it posed to the future of our country.
I know all of the blowback and all of the entanglements that would be caused by it, but I don't know if I was in position to stop it, whether or not I would allow another holocaust to happen without doing something about it. I honestly don't know if I believe in my principals that much, or not.
If cabin pressure drops oxygen masks will drop from the ceiling. Please secure your own mask before helping others. Even though the bags do not fully inflate oxygen is flowing.
In case anyone doesn't get that, the US should fix its own problems before trying to fix the problems of others. This can actually be done pretty simply.
-eliminate "welfare"
-pay teachers ~3-6x more and have higher teaching standards
-FIRE people who work for the government and SUCK at their jobs (about 70% of them)
This will
-stop the dregs of society from leeching off of the hard working people
-make the country smarter
-make the US actually get things done in a timely and efficient manner.
Will any of these things happen? No.
I sure hope you think you can explain how this guy's "leeching" off me. Cause that'll be fun to read.

But nobody starves in this country! After all, you can just go to the emergency room. Also them that works eats, etc. etc.
Thank you for that tome of wisdom.... you're what 12, maybe 13 years old?n case anyone doesn't get that, the US should fix its own problems before trying to fix the problems of others. This can actually be done pretty simply.

When welfare started getting cut hard by Reagan, black infants in Detroit had lower survival rates than Hatian babies.
glad we got rid of those leeches.
also cash welfare/food stamps are a small fraction of our allotted and borrowed military budget. time to get a grip on things; it's like dumbass McCain crusading against earmarks that constitute under single percent of the budget.
Black babies from Detroit are immoral.
Made me think of Carlin. :\ RIP

So we are going to trade fighting Al Queda in Iraq, for fighting Al Queda in Darfur?
We are going to trade proxy fighting Iran in Iraq, for proxy fighting Iran, China, and Russia in Darfur?
Sounds like it's going to be a slam-dunk.
It's ok Church, it's not like the US or most likely anybody else is going to do anything.
I figured all the terrorist attacks that happen in Africa was proof enough.
silly me
